Maybe ask in the PC hardware section? Or are you trying to ruffle some feathers with the hermits?

Yes, nothing by Apple is ever THE best. Just close to it and expensive.

Probably one of the dell ultrasharps if money is no object. If you are looking at a 27inc iMac I'll assume that's the case.

That's still no excuse really, Offtopic is more active than SW yet you wouldn't post this there. Your question will be answered with far more detail in the hardware section, even if it does take an extra hour or two.

Just turn it into a System Wars thread since there's already complainers. Say that Mac is better and there are no PC screens that look as good as 27" lol. Something along those lines.

Agreed.

Not a whole lot to it really if you're up to date with the sort of thing.

What? It's just an ordinary 27" all-in-one screen that can run Mac OSs :|

i mentioned in the other thread - its an LED-backlit IPS. pretty rare combination, though good 26+ IPS panels traditionally go for nearly $1k. apple has white LED backlighting instead of RGB backlighting, which is a kind of odd choice. and the glossy screen, which is more personal preference.

lol TC there are a handful of better monitors than the 27" S-IPs.

Dell U3011, Dell U2711, HP ZR30w, and this monitor which no one mentioned:

Fujitsu P-27T-6

+

NEC SpectraView PA271

I think i fould one

http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/hazro_hz27wa.htm

IPS + LED + Glossy + 27'' and all the proper connections

It is not as cool design as Apple, but hopefully will do the same job

Theglossy is very important to me since gives an extra edge to colors and vibrancy

My Specs:

AMD Phenom II X6 1055T

Obviously, the Mac Pro is worth more, but it also has less graphical horsepower. I'm quite serious.

EDIT: I bought all the parts and labour from MSY, if you'd like to check their website: www.msy.com.au

I'm sure some $1000+ Dell monitor would at least match or be better. But that's subjective. I don't like them because they're glossy, but that's just me. Maybe if they made a matte/anti-glare version, I might change my mind. Just a big bright screen. A good $200-300 monitor would probably suffice. Your money, do what you want.

With Apple Mactel's bootcamp, you can install Windows 7. Apple Mactels are just UEFI X86 PCs.

you do realize that glossy screens screw up color accuracy, right?
