Is there a point in buying a 360 now?

No there really isn't. Now that PS3 is out there's no point in owning a 360 considering most of the good games will be ported to PS3 so what's the point? You might as well buy a PS3 instead you get all the best multi platform games plus the superb PS3 exclusives.

Note: If M$ actually starts to turn profit on 360 it will last longer then 4 years. They killed Xbox so fast because they were loosing $1 billion dollars a year from it.

Sorry that argument doesn't work anymore.  In that case I could say that 360 isn't worth owning until Halo 3 and Ninja Gaiden 2 are out.

I think this system will last longer than the original Xbox. The 360 platform seems to be a bit more modular that tne original 'box and if anything, what will happen is that well get upgrades sort of like the "Zephyr"..

Not everyone owns a 8800GTX videocard or anything near it..Also it depends on your knowledge of  your PC and comfort level with PC game installation and configuration. The 360 is just an easier choice for most people.

Xbox 4 may face PS4 (according to the usual console life)

Xbox 3 = 2009-2010
Xbox 4 = 2014-2015

PS4 = 2013-2014

But NONE will be for other consoles, so is there a point in buying 360 now ? YES THERE IS. Is there a point in getting a Wii or RPS3, not one

no one really knows how long are they gonna support it (hope more than the xbox), but the real quastion is, should u buy one now???

i'd say no, if u can wait (u did till now) there is the rumor of price cut and the new 360. why isnt MS confirming any of this? because this is exactly the point, they dont want ppl saying "i wont get it NOW, cause a price cut is coming "or new one".

many indecators out there saying they are releasing a new one, the cut down in numbers is pretty much the biggest (unliss they are really selling bad  :) )
