I play alot of games. I dont know if I would consider myself hardcore but I guess so. I play around 2-3 hours everyday on average. Some days I play 6-7 hours. So yeah I guess im hardcore. I said all that to say this lol, I really dont like shooters. I can play one once in awhile but overall I am tired of the genre and dont find it fun.
I have a tough relationship with this genre, I like them, but at the same time I hate them for several reasons, if you know what I mean, it's hard to explain.
I consider myself quite good and am experienced with shooters. But for me the genre has reached a saturation point that they all feel the same, so I'm not really interested in them anymore.
I like shooters, but I don't play the newer ones since they're kinda generic. Last shooter I bought was Crysis, and the one shooter that I can keep on playing is BF2. Once BF3 comes out though...Oh boy...
I don't like shooters. For some reason they all seem to be about space marines who go around shooting aliens or focused heavily on multiplayer. I buy games so I can relax by myself. I don't buy them to play online with a bunch of whiny jackasses who constantly curse. The only FPS games I have are BioShock and Far Cry 2 (I played online once). I have MGS 4 but I have never played MGO.
I'm not a big FPS fan myself. I actually also hated 3rd person shooters but now I'm really fond of them thanks to games like Gears and Uncharted. I did play Goldeneye 007 and Perfect Dark in the golden days and consider Metroid Prime to be a non FPS game but I find FPS very mehh. Aside from Halo2, Perfect Dark Zero and Killzone2 which aren't even my favorite games of all time at all, I don't really enjoy FPS's that much.
im not of fan of most all current shooters within the past 5 years except for team fortress 2 ...and besides tf2, the only other shooter i play regularly is counter strike 1.6
