Is there anything good about the Wii U?

what is the wii u good at. its not good at games, graphics, features, controls, or being a next gen console. why buy it

It has four to five year's worth of 1st party Nintendo exclusive games incoming.

According to Nintendo's marketing team it plays Wii U games, plays downloadable games, AND uses Wii U accessories. What more could you want?

It has no games, outdated hardware and a awful name. So no there is nothing good about the Wiiu.

I enjoyed the latest NSMB, but that was it.  

Still waiting for some big titles to release before getting one.

... its pretty amazing how forgetfull people are on this board.  Its like talking to a bunch of goldfish.  Pretty much every platform launch has been disastrous on software for a while now.

Oh well, its only fair.  PS4 will be next.

It does quite a bit more than a calculator, unlike Wii and Wii U which considering the times they were launched are about on par with a pocket calculator you'd bring along to the grocery store.

I don't get Nintendo fans. I don't care for their kiddie-ass games but I understand that you guys do. The bizarre thing is the way you defend their hardware. It's freaking crap! Defending it is crazy. You guys would be much, much better off if Nintendo stopped making hardware. Then you could play their games on real hardware and those games would be better because of it.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

• The Gamepad & Off-TV play is 50 times better than Kinect/Move (and Wii U retains Wiimotes)
• Doesn't require a 24/7 connection to Nintendo Servers
• Backwards compatability is looking to be a Wii U exlcusive this gen
• Subscription Free Online Play - looking to be another exlusive
• Local Multiplayer with separate screens - another Wii U exclusive
• More likely cheaper games $50-$60 for Wii U
• Close to $200 cheaper than Xbox/PS4
• Zelda, Mario, Metroid, Pokemon, Kirby

Nope, nothing good.

What I find hilarious is that ~80% of people that trash talk the system are waiting for a price drop because they know they cannot live without their first party Nintendo titles.
