And a water cooled 8800gt plays crysis on high at 1920 x 1200 (which is higher than 1080p)
so that means yes at lower resolutions you can play crysis on very high settings
with 8800 ultra oc'd sli you should be able to play at 1680 x 1050 all settings very high with 4xAA, but i doubt you would get more than 40fps

The very high setitngs are for future hardware but you can still use it at a lower resolution.
I can crysis on medium setting and i get about 30fps. On low setting i can easily get 30+
I got:
AMD 64 3400+
1GB of DDR 400Mhz Ram
X1950pro

1920x1200 is not 1080p, it's 1920x1080.
Well my 8800GTS gets around 15 fps on very high settings when playing crysis lol..
Well I don't think even GTX and ULTRA SLI could run Crysis at a steady 60 fps, maybe about 50 but not 60, atleast not steady.... Well that is if Crytek wont do some truly amazing optimizing work before the game is released, but doubt there will be much of a difference anyway..

I wouldn't be surprised if Crytek spent these last few weeks optimizing it even further. After playing the demo, I can already tell that the developers spent a lot of late nights optimizing this Brute.
You can play it low resolutions....Here's is a pic of Crysis with every thing on very high, 16XAA DX10 running at around 15 fps on a rig with E6750, 8800 320 MB, 2 GB RAM with a resolution of 800*600

What is the point of playing at very high with 800x600? I think my rig that plays it at 1024x768 on MED settings look better than that. Although the particle effects in that picture look stunning.
This game is going to look amazing even on medium, so I doubt anybody is shocked that this thing is power hungry.
