More Moving parts = More Reliability problems. Also, The PS2 was very unreliable.

You completely forgot about the Wii's GPU heat issues, Bricked Firmware, and the Dual Layer DVD issues.

Doesn't the Wii also have problems with bricked firmware, or is that solved now??

I believe a lot of problems are much better for all machines, but I do wait to update my Wii. I never update really fast.

Well yeah everything is less reliable nowadays but in comparison with the x360 that prods too often i would rather to say that the ps3 is doing ok!!! The wii is also ok as for the pc: Judging by my 15 years experiance on pc, i have to say that in terms or reliability this is the worst gen for pc, You just cant rely on games running properly on pc since lots of developers focus on consoles and quickly port the pc version. What i am trying to say is that i never before in 15 years i had so manny issues while running a game on pc. Ofcourse i can blame multiple things such as the game developers not polishing the pc version or the technology becoming too complicated therefore there can be some problems!! Anyway what i am trying to say is that the reliability is leaking from everywhere not just the ps3, not only in gaming but in allot of everyday life products. I can qurantee one thing, its gonna get worse!!!

Thats a great excuse for MS. Did they say it? But this gen is slightly different gaming. The Wii mote you wave around so there was some reliability problems at first and PS3/360 can overheat easily. Oh the DS3 controller is less reliable then the DS2. Yeah, it does seem that them more expensive it is the greater of a chance for it to break down.
