Well I have a high end gaming PC (XPS M1710) that I gave about $2,500 to as well as an Xbox360. The part I don't get with thePC only personalities, is that you end up waiting a year to get Gears or a year or more to get Halo 2 and with so many other games as well. Considering the price of an Xbox360 I'm simply not willing to sit out the time to play some of the best games that are out. If I had tons of patience, sure I may wait, but life is too short and games age too quickly to wait 18 months. Plus Xbox Live is cool and getting in on the multi-player games from day one makes them that much better.Otherwise you end up getting in after eveyone else has had months and months to play and you get owned.
Now i can understand that an Xbox360 owner wouldn't want to shell out the $2,500 I did for my XPS. But I don't really understand why I guy that shelled out at least $900 for a decent gaming PC would be so opposed to spending far less to have games when they come out. I play my PC about 3 times as much because I love RTS and 360 nor PS3 have good RTS titles. But I certainly like the 360 and even picked up the bioshock after demoing on both because I'd rather play it on the 42" HDTVwith surround sound.
On the PS3. The thing just doesn't have enough good games to justify the price. I'll probably get one sooner or later it just isn't time yet. A Wii will probably be in my home by this Christmas and PS3 by next. Soon after I'll probably need another gaming PC. never ends.
