Is this year looking better for VR first person than traditional?

Hello.

Looking at the list of currently released, and upcoming VR titles this year, would it be fair to say, when it comes to first person titles, it's current better than traditional first-person being released this year?

• Walking Dead: Saints And Sinners
• Halflife: Alyx
• Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond
• The Walking Dead Onslaught
• Low-Fi
• After the Fall
• Iron Man VR
• Phantom: Covert Ops
• Blunt Force

Currently hyped traditional first-person games

• Doom: Eternal

It's worth noting Doom was converted to VR, so the possibility also exists here, creating a superior experience.

Please share positive and informed opinions.

Nope, not for me. I’m just not interested in VR on a fundamental level but even still none of those games really interest me either. FPS that I’m interested in at all really are:

• Halo: Infinite
• Doom Eternal
• next Call of Duty

So much rabid fanboyism communicated in one little line.

Well, the first part is true enough. The misguided part is, however, incorrect, as what I have pointed out is not a matter of opinion. (I do respect your opinion too, dude)

Incidentally, I share your opinion of Iron Man VR. The term I would use in describing how it looks is "excrement". But then, I **hate** the superhero genre in general. With very few exceptions, I think it is a genre comprised of corny tripe created primarily for manchildren.

Never mention anything about you liking or disliking the game. You called out the OP for showing his inner fanboy because he added Iron man VR and crossing it out as a move against PSVR. That maybe but if the game is shit who cares?

To answer OP's question, DOOM Eternal may well have the capacity to eclipse the entire list of VR games, as good as some of them do in fact look. Time will tell.

Call me old fashion, i just want to play games with a screen and button inputs, put resources into making better games

with all that time they put into hand and head movement, they could have used the time and resources to make a good game instead

@pinkribbonscars: I'm saying that with all the time they put into making a VR experiance, they could have put that time towards making better traditional games, bigger worlds, levels, enemy designs, new weapons, physics, traditional mechanics.

Im talking about half life in particular here. Games like super hot and beat saber I get, but taking a franchise like half life and trying to make it a VR experiance is bad. We are going to get a linear half life game, with a shorter story, with slower movement, less innovation on traditional gaming mechanics in exchange for the "VR experiance."

Which is head and hand movement most gamers arent concerned about.

I'm over the "experiences", I just want proper VR games that the same length as a normal game.

Lastly, as for Cup, he would have probably done the same thing if Iron Man VR was a PC game. He does that a lot. What's there to be jealous about PSVR!
