TotalBiscuit got me back into WoW when Cataclysm released. He is a human, and whether or not he accomplished anything doesn't matter. He's important nevertheless.

Of course he is important. He is a voice for PC gamers that stands for improved game quality and practices in the industry. You have to respect him for that.

True on both accounts, and that is why gaming needs people like him. Not pushovers that don't dare to question anything or anyone because they fear to burn imaginary bridges with other assholes in the business.

He is important. I don't watch TB's channel much but from time to time, I do that, and that guy knows what he's talking about. In casual era of today, well informed people like him are good for the community.

I don't agree with anything he has to say 90% of the time.

However, he is pretty important in bring attention to the platform and calling out poor decisions made by developers.

I found and watched it. That guy reminded me of myself when I attempted to play Destiny last year on ps4 and I was terrible with analogs.

No, it's sad that you have to yell or insult in a YouTube video to get enough attention of people. Everyone can do it and TB was one of them. Most of them don't even care about telling their opinion. They just want enough views to receive the money from YouTube. Meanwhile they go and try to make themself famous on different groups like TB did with the 30fps forced group on steam.

Behind this "opnion to help the camera" is a different meaning that we don't realy see.

Ofcourse it's sad to see him gone in life. But what I'm trying to say here is that everyone litterly on the internet is doing the same as him. Only he had the extra meaning of becoming more famous.

His show is good though, I would be disappointed to see it gone.

TB has opinions, like anyone else on YouTube or at any forums like this one. He is like a PC gaming's columnist. You either agree with him or you don't.

But TB is good at making opinions. He knows how to make himself heard. So yeah, he's an important voice of PC gaming.

Unfortunately, the guy has an incurable disease, which really sucks.

He's a major figure and brings players to games. But his audience will find another content creator in time.

I think it's cringe-worthy to considering him some kind of spokesman.

He is the highest curator on Steam, when he does streams on Twitch he gets around 20k live viewers and he's the biggest PC youtuber on Youtube... He's pretty damn important if you ask me.

When it comes to PC there is no website or anybody that is bigger than him.

He was to me in a way. He covers a lot of indie/lesser known games. And I got to know a lot of great titles by watching his videos.

My favourite show however was the mailbox. I watched him for a long time. But I don't watch him that much since a good year or so.

If he still covers a lot of indie/lesser known games to a wide audience, I would call him important, yes.

If it wasn't for people like him and games like these, this industry would be pretty ******** in the ¨*****

You need to be able to operate a mouse and keyboard, and find the power-button on your monitor in order to be allowed to the elite PC gaming master race.

No, he's just an average PC gamer like anyone else, he made a successful YouTube channel, he's the voice of nothing but his own personal views.

Does he make a positive contribution to PC gaming? Yes, but that doesn't make him any less or more important to it than you or I.

It is safe to consider him the Roger Ebert of gaming.

I think he does good things for the community, but I don't think he makes or breaks PC gaming overall or anything.

I don't know if he is "important" or not but he's certainly a postive, pro-consumer voice in gaming that has a voice with reach most of us will never have.

No. Don't always agree with his views. He doesn't invest a lot of times on certain genres.

I would argue that anyone that puts gaming (more importantly, PC gaming) in a positive light is important.

With that said, it's video games...in the grand scheme of things, it's not important to begin with.

I imagine some day there will be games that have as huge an impact on life as other forms of media have had (i.e. a video game having equal impact as The Mona Lisa has on the world, or movies like Casablanca or Citizen Kane, and so forth), but we are not there yet.

So I guess I kind of take back what I said; he is important, because he is putting on the path to become the above mentioned thing.

I would've thought someone who, by your own admission, makes a positive contribution to PC gaming would make them more important than someone who makes no contribution at all. I can't think of any other PC gaming centric youtube channel that pushes standards PC gamer's have come to expect as hard as TB does, and the fact he has such a large following means he holds some sway with developers/publishers.

He's the only Youtuber I watch constantly and consistently. This doesn't also mean I agree with his opinion 100% of the time like with the Dragon Age: Inquisitions.
