I owned an NES, and I'm sure many of you did....so my question to you is will WII did what NES did in the 80's? get grandma/grandpa to talk about and play videogame!!!??? get non-gamer to buy the console? my 20 yearsold sister is even looking for the WII!!! and she's the definition of a non-gamer!!!

the last 2 options i misspelled, and I know but cant fix it afterward, dont be a smartdonkey

It's more like you don't want a revoultion because your so attatched to the way things are right now.

Change is not bad, it's not like they will quite making the kinds of games you like because of the Wii.

Funny how the same sheep who say we need a gaming revolution. Then go to vc and dl the old games with the old gameplay, they were tired and bored with. BTW here in the uk, gaming was fine and nes didnt create any revolution. Sincliar ZX Spectrum says Hi

What are you like 8 years old? If you didn't know before, now you know. The NES revolutionized gaming because it brought millions of non-gamers to become gamers (much like the Wii) It was one of the best home entertainment consoles at its time, no other consoles had good games such as Mario, Metroid, Zelda, Tetris and many more.

I never said anything about those games. Look at Genji 2, and Untold Legends! I meant those games specifically. I want a gaming revolution where gameplay and graphics are all awesome. Also, those are all my favorite games... I don't want them to hate me. :(

LIke a cow I am waiting. Waiting for the Wiiremote to prove itself to be this revolution. Then again I am waiting for the Wii to show, its an improvement over the GC graphics. BTW I dont call getting grandma and grampa to wave a remote in the air, a innovation or a revolution. They have been doing it for years and with a little prettier images at the other end of their remotes. Prob with more satisfaction, well at least for Granpa

In order for a true gaming revolution to occur, you'll need more than just a new controller. I mean, sure the Wiimote has changed the way you play the game, but fundamentally the games have not changed much -- you could just as well use a standard controller to control the actions on screen. What will bring about a true revolution would be a fundamental change to the games themselves. What that could be, I don't know. But as long as the Wiimote is only used for the standard FPS, platformer, racer, fighter, sports, etc. etc., it's not revolutionary. It's just innovative.

How does that improve the games, esp when the lowest common denominator gets even lower. Like I said it has done wonders for other forms of other entertainment. What makes you think the games industry will be safe from that effect.

Look to the DS, some of themost interesting games have been nongamer fare, like Brain training
