Is XBOX VR/AR going to be a thing?

Bethesda talked about it. Sony aren't even at E3. We've also only had 3 conferences, not including Devolver Digital who are a lot smaller. There's a VR only Direct happening today as well.

Please provide more laughing material though.

Dunno but I'm betting there is a whole bunch of announcements being kept under wraps for the time being so time will tell.

They spout things without bothering to look things up. And they expect us to take them seriously.

And as you have mentioned, Bethesda at E3 just announced their VR game, made by Arkane Studios (Dishonored) and Machine Games for PCVR and PSVR:

And 30 VR games are about to be presented/announced soon in about 40 minutes at the E3 direct event. More games are being made than ever, more headsets sold every year than the previous, and yet we have people like that guy who still think "VR is dead."

VR is far more useful than your cell phone. Are you really so ignorant to think that a silly cellphone or social media is somehow more useful to life than VR, when VR is a social media platform and a cellphone all in one?

Your cellphone won't even last a few more decades. No one will be using them when they can get their fix via VR and AR instead.

@whatafailure: Notice how this site doesn't even recognizes VR as a platform, I mean even Stadia is there. VR is low on gamers minds, and the only reason VR gets a thread or 2 here is because there are some real nut job cows who think PSVR is the best thing in gaming lol.

I wouldn't say PSVR is the best thing for gaming but it sure is the cheapest VR set you can get though. Plus, it's well known by now if you want more then just a simple VR on a console, you'll need to invest a PC with a strong GPU to do so but it's gonna cost you more. In short, PSVR just happens to be alot cheaper then the PC counterparts.

Yeah I remember they said the Xbox 1 X was VR compatible but later Phil said that he didn't want it until it was wireless and cheap. It's honestly almost there. 10ghz is here which should be more than enough for the data and it only works short range, so it seems perfect. They can't use the way Sony is making the psvr wireless, so unless there's a deal I don't see it being the same way.

I hope not. Hoping Microsoft does not get into VR any time soon. Just not interested into that type of thing. The Kinect itself was disastrous. Enough said in my opinion.
