It was made clear as day even before Bioshock saw the light of day. Remember the PC demo had "PS3" right on it. Anywase MGS4 won't come to the 360 for the fallowing reasons
1:This is Sony's biggest game and I doubt that they would allow it(that's like halo 3 going to the PS3)
2:Technically its impossible, Kojima is a perfectionist and hates to put games on multiple disk and the 360 simply can not run this game
I admire your hope though, but it will never ever ever happen. Evah!
there'd be a lot of discs involved (which I don't really care about as long as they don't do things Lost Odyssey style and shove them all in one box).
it's not impossible since Sony doesn't own Metal Gear, but i can't see it coming any time soon.

Itagaki didn't port Sigma so someone else might port MGS4
also Konami isn't owned by sony

I still say it won't happen. Kojima has some brand loyalty ya know. Also seeing as the MGS2 sales on the xbox were crapola that lowers the chances even more.i would also like to say "never say never" in the gaminng industry. remember when they said RE4 was never gonna come to the ps2, and some chief exec from capcom swore he would would like cut of his hands or something if it did...yeah remember that.
they got round by cutting corners, e.g FMV instead of realtime cuts-scenes and obviously reducing the quality of the graphics.
never say never...
Flaw in your logic with point #1.....MS owns the publishing rights to the Halo name and franchise. Bungie may have split from MS, but the Halo franchise and anything to do with it belongs to MS. Sony doesn't own 1 single thing about the MGS franchise!!!It was made clear as day even before Bioshock saw the light of day. Remember the PC demo had "PS3" right on it. If you were the head of a major gaming company whose head console is in the crapper right now have their biggest game simply go to their rivals? It's common sense that it won't.It was made clear as day even before Bioshock saw the light of day. Remember the PC demo had "PS3" right on it. Edit: Do you think Microsoft is that threatened buy MGS4 they would shell out loads of money just to get it on the 360?
it wont happen there are lots of playstation little things in the game, and its on a dual layer blu-ray disk and to top it off it's using all 7 processors you could say it's the first true ps3 game to come out to take advantage of what the ps3 has to offer
But another big thing is APPLE is heavily advertised in the game which would have been paid for by them which is basically microsofts rival

Ultimately the decision isn't up to Sony. If Konami thinks they can make a reasonable profit by porting MGS4 to another system, then they'll do it.I was pretty sure Bioshock would come to PS3. I think Sony payed lots of $$$ to keep MGSIV exclusive.
A PC release is more likely than a 360 one I think.
Supporting this (and my original post) is a link that mentions Mikami saying that he would cut his head off if RE4 were ever ported to the PS2. Again, I think it would very wise for Konami to make the game multiplatform, even if they have to change a lot and spread it over multiple discs. The RE4 instance is a very relevant example. EDIT: Those citing MGS2 Substance as a reason why there won't be a port take note: MGS2's plot was negatively received and was only the second in the series. MGS4's plot is one of the most well-received and the game has had the time and attention to build up hype across the gaming board. MGS4 =/= MGS2 Substance.i would also like to say "never say never" in the gaminng industry. remember when they said RE4 was never gonna come to the ps2, and some chief exec from capcom swore he would would like cut of his hands or something if it did...yeah remember that.

The computers in the game are Apple, and Snake can use an Ipod. Apple = MS's rival. carljohnson3456
I hadn't thought about that......porting MGS4 to the 360 would be more than just "porting code" like Rob Smith said on the GT Bonus Round
To be honest who really knows? With all the rumors coming in last year and earlier this year it made you think that it might be possible, but I just can't see it happening it is just too big of game to let another console have, I think it would really hurt the PS3. Hey you never know though, but as of right now you probably have better chance winning the lottery, but then again where did all the rumors come from? I mean with as many as they were one has to think was there any relavance to them?
I honestly wouldn't be surprised seeing another type of MGS on 360, seeing how substance came out for the XBOX but regarding this MGS, I truely don't think so. Lemmings would surely eat it up.
[QUOTE="carljohnson3456"]Here is why I think it might not... Kojima already said (in the prelaunch GS interview) that there are some aspects of MGS4 that can only be done on the PS3. MGS4 takes a shot at DVD9... although this isnt a big deal. The computers in the game are Apple, and Snake can use an Ipod. Apple = MS's rival. And Sony acts like they might pay for exclusives now... I would think they'd paid Konami before they port it. And finally, the game sold 1.5 in the first day... I think if it sold worse, it would have better odds of going multiplat. But, it could. Ya never know.ThePlotholeMicrosoft makes software for the Mac, so obviously they're not that much of a rival.
"I'm a mac"

Tell you all what: If MGS4 ever goes to the 360 I will videotape myself eating my own dirty underwear.Quote me on itI:D.Mr_lulzQuoted so that your post can be immortalized in mine without fear of you coming back and editing it. I'll be bookmarking this thread ;)

And yet at the same time Apple has made it possible to run Windows natively on the system. At the same time Office and Internet Explorer have been available to Mac users for years. Obviously Apple would rather have you buy their hardware, but they could care less if you use Microsoft products on them. Actually Sony should be more threatened if anything. Since Sony actually has a line of computers. You honestly think Sony didnt pay big $$ to keep MGS4 exclusive?EVOLV3
Sony's Phil Harrison (former President of SCE WWS, resigned February 29) stated, categorically, that they do not pay for exclusivity...
Since his departure, Kaz Hirai has hinted publically that Harrison's policy may change in the 'future...'
but in answer to your question 'yes, I honestly think Sony didnt pay big $$ to keep MGS4 exclusive...'
do you know how much work that would take?
probably the same amount of work as making an entirely new game.
it would come on at least 3 disks.
it is far more likely that konami makes a different version, or completely different game exclusively for the 360. Kojima likes to do things very throuroughly, as you can see MGS4 is pretty much perfect.
this is not last gen where you simply port the engine and refit the controls and boom you're there. there are big differences between the consoles these days.
