They use the same engine as console so its basicly trying to emulate console games. They use the same engine, thats why the graphics look the same. Thats why im not buying a gaming pc. I dont care about mods,I barely have time to finish the games already. Side by side comparisons of pc/360 graphics look the same. I remember back in the old days, the pc games and console games were different. Nowadays you cant tell the difference.

The graphics don't look the same in 95% of multiplatform games. Nor are they locked at 30 fps like most console games.

Normally only multiplats run on the same engines, and what game on consoles looks as good as crysis and metro 2033 maxed out?

Um what? Its developers discretion. They can make a streamlined game that will work on all platforms or push higher on the PC. Just Cause 2, Bad Company 2, Mafia 2 and a few others will show you that. Some games do have a copy paste treatment when it comes to game engine but thats only because the developers did not want to make a new engine or upgrade said engine. Games such as Supreme Commander 2, Splinter Cell Conviction, Kane and Lynch 1 and a few others demonstrate that principle. This is definitely not the case in all games. It though is a bit of a far-fetch to lable multiplatformers on PC as being "emulated".

On another note, not gaming on one platform destroys your opportunity for all the exclusives. If you are choosing to only skip out on PC gaming because you feel certain games are graphically close then I can understand but it is saddening to hear. What would you feel about these games below then?

Multiplatform is the key word here. All platforms use the same engine. The consoles are what holding Pc's back because most games are multiplat and they have to be able to run on consoles. Which is inferior and out of date hardware, very few multiplat games go the extra mile to allow Pc hardware to strut its stuff.

Yeah. Those are the great Exceed touhou 2nd and 3rd gen bullet Hell Shumps. On the list you also have Hellsinker, Reflex, twilight insanity, and patriot dark which are anime inspired Shumps.

PC is the one thing console fanboys will hide behind. Graphics, devs, etc...the pc is always this untouchable super technology that everyone thinks possesses cgi graphics.

If anything, wouldnt consoles be emulating a PC, seeing as videogames are made on a computer?

No pc has a large number of games and variety of genres that can only be found on pc i anything it was more of an emulation of consoles last gen with big budget fps titles flooding the market and all other genres on the verge of extinction now we see more variety on the pc and it provides a different experience then can be found consoles. Your so preoccupied on multiplatform titles which of course aren't going to be drastically different but you completely ignore all the pc exclusive games. I will admit difference in graphics aren't as big as last gen but there is a difference even on a multiplatform game a decently powerful pc will provide higher visual quality due to high resolution, more AA and AF, and higher framerates and games like Crysis Metro 2033, and Arma 2 pull off graphics consoles aren't capable of.
