and the PS3 had Uncharted a year after launch

but how is it Uncharted is the best looking console game out to date. Uncharted blows away Geows graphics even the lemmings admit to that.

so what does this mean? teh power of the cell finnaly did something? it must be doing something if no 360 game looks anywhere as good as uncharted

as a hardcore and biased Xbox Lemming Guy, I hate people saying Uncharted looks better than Gears. The Videos I saw don't look all that great...

NO, actually they are both 2nd Generation games. The PS3 is One year newer, don't forget that.

There is still quite a weight of opinion on these boards that Gears looks better. I'm one of them! On the other hand I see plenty that say Uncharted. So it might be fair to say (without actually doing a poll) that peoples' opinions are split on this one. But the fact that Gears still competes with it after all this time is a victory to the 360......surely?

YOu see, I thought that too. I'm an Xbox guy and I only watched vids of Uncharted.

To actually play it, in HD, like Gears is the real test.

As a HUGE gears fan, even I admit Uncharted looks amazing.

If I hadn't actually played it at my Brothers house, on my Brothers PS3, I would have posted what you posted. Sorry, but once you play it, you will see it really is a great looking game (and it's not even on the UNREAL ENGINE!!!!)

Not really, the poll would be way early.

Gears (The actual retail game) = ONE FULL YEAR of opinions and Proof, one year of Players trying it.

Uncharted (just a demo!) = ONE FULL DAY of opinions from a minority of lucky people that have played it.

As an Xbox guy, I admit the games graphics and gameplay were sweet. I thought until yesterday that the game looked BORING and "BEEN THERE DONE THAT". Wow, was I shocked. I wish it were multiplat (But it's made by Sony's Naughty Dog).

Oh well, I still got Mass Effect coming out to play! Xbox still rules overall.

Dude, it's a great game. Cows are lucky to have that demo, I can't speak for the whole game, but that demo was fun.

Still, it's funny, I spent a whole year calling it "Dude raider" and such. I regret that now, after getting to actually play it.

it has unified shaders but very unpowerful ones, nvidias unified shaders are about 2.5x as powerful as ati's, ps3 might have fixed vertex/pixel shaders but they are much more powerful than unified and 48 unified shader = buget while the suposedly 24 pixel shaders in ps3 is pretty good
