It amazes me how often I don't agree with reviewers. Banjo N&B is amazing

I love Gears2, still play my Halo 3, finishing up some old RPGs, about top borrow Fable 2, and yet the only game I have been playing this week is Banjo. How can such a game get so many bad reviews. I haven't even been playing the online yet. Some jiggy tasks aren't fun, but overall it has been an amazing game. When you really use your imagination you really see the possibilities.

Also the best thing about this game is that you don't have to have an imagination. You can check the leaderboards and take their blueprints and solve the tasks. Many people have made replicas of Star Trek ship and Star Wars ships. Some one even made the batmobile from the recent movies. Game is a steal at $40. It took away my Gears 2 time.

Yup, Nuts & Bolts is a pretty special game. Do I still want Banjo-Threeie? Damn right, and I want it to be a traditional platformer. But I enjoy Nuts & Bolts for the different route it took. It's new, refreshing, and still has that Banjo humor.

I agree with this. Nuts and Bolts is amazing fun, but I kinda wish it was a new ip, and that traditional a Banjo 3 was coming. It just doesn't really mesh that Banjo is nothing more than a driver and Kazooie just a wrench monkey....

It looks like a lot of fun. Wish it weren't a 360 exclusive. But goes to show you have to be very careful of what reviews you see and read them carefully. Even sites and reviewers you trust can't be trusted 100% of the time. For instance I loved Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility, but the reviews almost put me off of it completely. I would have been very bitter had I missed out on it.

The vehicles and the lack of traditional platforming. Most of the missions are some sort of race, or moving something from point A to point B

They dont control well, you tip over way to easily. Yes, showdown town is cool but with barely any moves at your disposal the platforming isnt very fun or creative.

If they are tipping over then it means you have too much weight on one side. The better your vehicle is built the better it controls. I don't ever have control issues unless it is a design flaw.

If your talking about the missions where you can't use your own designs well some can be pretty iffy, but those missions are few. Now if your talking about the blue prints given to you then yeah because they ar enot going to give you the best design to handle a situation. they want you to figure that out on your own. if a mission is really to hard for you check the leaderboards. See what they did and try to copy that or take their blueprint.

How long did it take you to enjoy it? Did you like it from the start??

I finished the first world and then i put it away. Its incredibly funny and looks great but I just hate the gameplay. I hated the handling and the tasks just seem pointless, repetitive and boring and I miss speaking charecters cause that could have made it a bit better imo.

Does it pick up? Will i like it if i play more or is it a love it or hate it game from the start?

I agree with you on that, I wish it was true platformer as well. 360 needs more platformers. But, its still a lot of fun and close enough to a true platformer.

it depends if you don't like the building aspect to tackle on challenges then it may or may not pick up for you. I say play until you do the jiggosuem.

As much as I enjoyed the 1st two banjo with the mentally challenged bears as you put it, I have to admit I chuckled a bit. Your comment was kind of funny. Anyway I'm not going to bother buying N&B for my brother's 360, judging from various videos I've seen, the gameplay looks extremely boring and repetitive, and I didn't need a review to tell me that.

Yup, Nuts & Bolts is a pretty special game. Do I still want Banjo-Threeie? Damn right, and I want it to be a traditional platformer. But I enjoy Nuts & Bolts for the different route it took. It's new, refreshing, and still has that Banjo humor. BioShockOwnz
I agree, it is fun, but i'd like to have a BK3 game based more on platforming... however that doesnt take away from the imagination of this one.

I agree, great game.  They made a game thats worth making and playing, it deserves to do well.  Up against Gears of War it doesn't have a good chance, rare should obviously be making bloody shooters not cartoony platform racer games, or put it on the Wii.

Only problem is, it feels too much like wasting time tinkering and playing around right now to play it that much. :(

If your the kind of person who likes spend time tricking out your rides then this game is going to be right up your alley...

I'm not that kind of person. I would rather spend that time actually playing the game. I also hate having to go back and spend more time tricking out my ride to pass a mission, only to fail a few times.

If beating your head against a wall, and retrying missions over and over again sounds like something you would enjoy then by all means buy this game.

Apart from Terrarium of Terror which looks magnificent, but is chore to complete to get all T.T. Trophies, and really killed some of the excitement in me, the game is solid, hey there are even Buck Rodgers or Predator references.

Well then, that explains your optimism for Nuts & Bolts.
