Killzone 3 may have become Sony's Halo. Can't help but feel this game is going to be huge (and I aleady know 5 of my friends who are getting a PS3 just for it).
I agree. As badly as it was put together, I even loved the first one for the potential that it had. What Guerrilla Games have done with this series is absolutely amazing. They deserve every bit of praise they can get for bringing this series from the depths of the abyss to be something great. Cannot wait for KZ3.

I never called it a Halo killer, I'm simply saying that Killzone 3 could be THE shooter people think of when the Playstation brand is mentioned. It will never reach the sales figures that Halo has received, but it could VERY easily be just as huge of a success in the gaming public as far as a quality shooter on all frontd is concerned.

i hope it does have a good story after the disaster that was killzone 2! bad story and bad characters were killzone 2's only flaws that i could see, fix that and we have an amazing game on our hands
Good god the clipping! They recorded that waaaay too loud.
The whole thing seemed pretty cliche, but otherwise the trailer was pulled off well, some pretty epic music and it's cool to find out they got Malcom McDowell.
Edit: NM about the clipping thing it was my sound settings :P
the only good thing about that was Malcom McDowell. you basically need to shut your brain off to forget how stupid it is for the helghast to be on the offensive, and it's getting kind of old having to do that for games.

Things keep looking up and up for this game. The campaign already looks fun as hell based off the snow level that was covered in the 30 minute gamespot presents video. If this game delivers a story that's actually semi-engaging unlike KZ2 and improved multiplayer, it will be around the top in terms of FPSs for 2011 and will probably received the same metacritic rating or only slowly slightly less than KZ2.
I still feel that Resistance 3 is going to surprise A LOT of people who are PS3 owners and notice the game.

For it to be Sony's Halo, it better have terrible maps, dumb down features that it's predecessor had and disappoint gamers so much that is has as many people playing 3 months after it released as it's predecessor had 3 years after it released. You're right, it's not as easy thing to compete with Reach.
jesus... Storytelling and cutscenes look to be on a whole other level than killzone 2. Also the campaign will be better, and rico is actually a good character this time. :D
Oh GODDAMN it. I just watched the trailer and it looks immense. I hope it isn't as disappointing as Killzone 2...I swear if I cough up the dough for this on day 1 and the campaign lasts 6 hours...

the helghasts arent nazis okay? i hate it when they call them nazis, whats so NAZI about them? their symbol? they totally are. They are British Space Nazis who's leader looked like Darth Vader without the mask on.
Notice how you can put together a "this is sparta" at 1:29 The guy yells "THIS IS AN OUTRAGE" then at 1:32 he gets hit in the face with a stick... I can see it now... THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!!!! ...outrage?... THIS... IS... HELGHAN!!!! *b**** slap*
