Itagaki making a PS3 game...What the?!

Hey, I realize Itagaki is still on the 360's corner, but the power of the PS3 has apparently enticed Itagaki to make a PS3 game.

I know that NGSigma is just my NG Black in new clothes/Graphics/Playable character...but a whole new game from him and his Team Ninja I want for 360!

I guess he isn't as loyal as he was last generation, maybe he is trying to make TECMO a juggernaut like Namco/Sega/Capcom is. Either way, I want to play this!

Maybe it's the Japan Sales, or maybe TECMO wants to rise higher in status than they are at, either way, I think ALL Team NINJA games should be only for Xbox. It just seems good that way.

When asked about the potential of Itagaki ever having the chance to think of entirely new properties, he said, "I will be announcing such a game in the near future. The title of the game aside, it is like no other type of game I have ever made."

"The Japanese powerhouse developer is famed worldwide for the Dead Or Alive and Ninja Gaiden series. But it looks like the studio could be branching out in a new direction completely.

In an exclusive interview with head honcho Tomonobu Itagaki, the Team Ninja boss revealed that the firm's new game will be like no type of game Itagaki has ever worked on before.

One of the people on Team Ninja, Yosuke Hayashi, suggested the idea of bringing Ninja Gaiden to Sony consoles to broaden the franchise, and Itagaki gave him the green light to direct it. Yeah, then they went full on Xbox...although great for Xboxers like me, it might not have been good for Tecmo. The old days were great for them though.

Well, absolutely nothing in your link suggests that it's a PS3 game. It could be anything. Just because it's "nothing like anything else" that he's ever made doesn't mean that it's coming to the PS3. It could be coming to the Wii. It could be on a handheld. It could be an Xbox 360 game, but just in a different genre from Itagaki's earlier work.

Taking that comment and saying that it means he's developing for the PS3 is pure spin.

There wasn't any console associated with it, he hasn't even announced the game, much less the platform.

See, now that it's on a 360 page, it must be for 360 right?  Just because you found it on a website with PS3 news, doesn't mean it's going to PS3.

Where in that article does it say it's for the PS3?

I know the Headline on the browser is "PS3 News: Ninja Gaiden Sigma - 'Like no game I've ever made'," but the article itself is not about NGS, nor does it mention the PS3 anywhere.
