Itagaki To PS3 Fans: Ninja Gaiden Sigma Is No Good

What did you think of the PS3 game Ninja Gaiden: Sigma? I'm told you won't even sign copies of the game...?

Itagaki: It was no good.

Why's that? I thought it was pretty good.

Itagaki: All you need to do is play Ninja Gaiden II and then try and play Sigma afterwards and you'll see why. Despite the fact that it's on a 'next-generation' console there's no evolution whatsoever. That was made not by me, but one of my sub-ordinates who basically tried to copy the success of Ninja Gaiden.

Also anyone thinking NG:2 has a chance of being on the PS3 :lol: here is what he also said in that article -Elsewhere in the interview, Itagaki confirms that Ninja Gaiden II will never appear on the PS3, and if it ever did that would be "a loss of face for everyone involved."

He's a Ps3 hate for some reason. For the game being "no good", it sure seemed to score very good for a last gen game.

I didn't like Sigma to be honest I still prefer the original on the xbox.

Yea, that game is freaking awesome, although very(can't emphasize that enough) frustrating at times. I know it won't happen, but if they could somehow incorporate a good story in there, watch out.

Well to tell you the truth playing as Rachel wasn't fun in my opinion, graphically it look great and all but playing as her for me wasn't fun and wasn't as challenging as the original I mean Ninja Gaiden not Black.

Still a great game but the xbox version is the best for me.

He didn't even metion 360 or ps3, all he said is that the remake was "no good" for the next generation, because it didn't evolve.

More less he said NG2>NGS,NGB,NG, which is expected. Maybe a better word would have been "last gen"

PS: this is just my take on it after reading it, I may be wrong he might just hate Sony or ps3 :|:(

...I keep thinking of what Kojima said about modesty and laugh every time Itagaki gets interviewed.

I agree with him,his sub ordinate only added extra content,bumped up the graphics and fixed the controls for ps3 version,is not like ninja gaiden 2 that is built it from the ground up.LordoftheVacas

but thats enough considering the majority of PS2 owners never played NG on Xbox, and the majority of PS3 owners prolly have never played NG either, so it feels fresh to them.

Don't ever compare Capcom to EA...I don't see how they are the same all, one constantly makes great games, and the other makes the same game over and over.

The biggest difference is, Capcom remakes have changes in them, it's a 1 time port (Mostly to Wii) and actually worked well. Ea's remakes are games they have been redoing since the 90's.

All I know is that Sigma was a fantastic update to the already amazing Black, so if Itagaki thinks Sigma wasn't good then Ninja Gaiden 2 better make my balls fall off just playing it.BigJ411

and Finalfantasy94 is absolutely right! the reason it got high reviews is because its on a different platform and wasn't meant for people who played the original!
