Yep, cant wait for Halo 3 and now Mass Effect!

It's a great time just to be a gamer in general.

Hmm, I don't know how this last week has been that bad compared to the last 8 months of PS3's bad news, but I've sure been enjoying all the Mass Effect and Halo 3 news lately. If anything this is my most excited time to be a "lemming". New info for 2 AAA games is being pumped out while there are still plenty more on the way.Spartan3177

Lol, the topic creators looks to be trying to convince himself....Fact is, MS isn't doing so hot, with all the hardware problems/complaints and billions lost in the devision, lets not forget MS poor E3 showing...i don't know. Its soon to be a good time to be a PS3 owner..expecially with the upcoming killer titles.

Nah, I'm not trying to convince myself because I already am convinced. I've loved my 360 ever since I got it. And it definately looks like the same good games and even better ones arecoming very shortly.

The thing is that you and many others always say it will soon be a good time to be a PS3 owner. With that said, I do agree with you because GOW3, MGS4, and Heavenly Sword will all be amazing...but when those are even out they still won't be backed by the quality titles 360 has always had.

What I meant by this thread is that no matter what kind of bad press MS is currently getting, I will still be playing good games and be anticipating good games.

Wellfor me I am looking forward to Blue Dragon and Mass Effect more than Halo 3.But for the next 4 months the 360 will have games I been looking for. Blue Dragon in August, Halo 3 in September, GTA 4 October, and Mass Effect in November.

Well looks like you are trying to convince yourself, why come into a topic about the great it is to be a 360 gamer and post bad stuff.

The PS3 has a killer upcoming line up, and one of the reasons I want to buy one when it gets around $400, but right now the 360 has a great line up.

I don't remember anyone declaring they are AAA. Maybe some predictions of them being AAA, but not saying that they are without a doubt already AAA before being released like you.

Also, throughout those 8 months of bad press for Sony, what did PS3 owners get to play? Resistance and Motorstorm...

It always sux to be the majority when those minorities are right because the ownage becomes devastating. And its not non-sense. To be honest Halo 2 luckly got an AAA score because of it stellar multiplayer and because i think due to the hype place on it after Halo1 ( I call it the MGS2 effect). So like MGS3 (Which was leaps and bounds better than MGS2 but got lower score) I think gamespot raters arent gonna rate this time while sitting on the hype train. They will be more critical about the game because they remember the hype induced rating they gave Halo2

Yeah, because GAMESPOT is SOOOO GOOD AT reviewing games...... PERFECT DARK ZERO = 9.0, while ZELDA: TP gets below 9.0.... lol.... yeah, Gamespot reviewers are so knowledgeable and qualified to tell us what game deserves what score.Zandeus

Well here at the Gamespot forums, you may be surprised to learn we only use Gamespot reviews. But in buying games I normallyread a number of reviews, if I like what I hearing in the reviews I'll buy it, it I am kinda iffy I'll rent it.

Speculating a game's score is fine,however,the TC acted like the games were already out with an AAA score,and like Casey said,they aren't AAA until reviewed.Along with that,after Casey said that they aren't AAA until reviewed,you also said something along the lines like "it's going to happen",as if it were guaranteed AAA,which no game is.Speculating AAA is one thing,saying a game is guaranteed AAA is another.

oh yes, team fortress 2 which looks awesome check it out, is an only online game, and the class system if anything is going to impress, its like Counter Strike cartoon style with elements of Battlefield 2 in it. I'm hyped fa shaw.

Agree 100%. Cows think that the things that have happened to MS in the last week somehow (a) magically make games like Gears of War, GRAW, GRAW2, RSV, Crackdown, Condemned, etc. just "disappear" (b) causes games like Mass Effect, Bioshock, HL2, Halo 3, Splinter Cell Conviction, etc. to suddenly be cancelled; and (c) make their "wish list" games suddenly move up to 2007. :lol:

The thing is - we are still playing great games and have great games coming in the very near future.

You can't deny the FACT that the 360 sells games - first party AND third party. Look at two recent games: Ninja Gaiden Sigma (PS3)and Overlord (360). One was "supposed" to be a system seller and the other is just some random game that nobody hyped one bit. Guess which one has sold only 60,000 copies and which one has sold 129,000 copies, to date??? :lol:

I'm pretty damn hyped about Halo 3, Mass Effect, Bioshock, and Lost Oddyssy. With multiplats like CoD4, Assasains Creed, Madden, and a couple more exclusives like Blue Dragon and PGR4 it is a great time to be a lemming. And while I wish the system defects weren't happening I'm damn happy to hear that I have a 3 year warranty on my 360 as well as new chips being produced that will reduce the heat and drop the amount of red lights of doom dramatically in the next year.

As for Peter Moore leaving, good luck to him. Buisness execs come and go all the time.

As for MS losing 1.8 billion, well they lost 1 billion in offering the 3 year warranty so while it sucks company wise its great consumer wise and with MS still posting on a whole over 11+billion in profits I think MS is fine. I don't worry about their stocks and such as I don't own any of it and won't make any money at all. In addition for those that take off the fan boy blinders if you subtract the 1 billion from the 1.8 billion loss and see that the company chose to take that hit to protect their customers as well as admit their fault you can see how close MS was to making a profit in the next year like they planned. Oh well I;'m willing to be MS will be in the black a year later than they planned in 2009. Such is buisness. You go with the ups (PS1, PS2, NES) the downs (XBOX, VIRTUAL BOY, SATURN) the surprises (Wii) the struggling (PS3) and if at the end of the day despite blunders and unexpected occurances you still find yourself ontop you're doing pretty good.

Besides, while losing money in your company is never a good thing, I'd rather lose 1.8 and 2.5+ billion Sony has so far:D

coming 2008. We have not even seen much of MS and wii 08 lineup. i own all three consoles and i am excited about sony, but we can't rule out ms, they are a corperation that hates to loose.
