I don't get it. You know that those are advertisments right? It's just like when you watch a McDonald's commercial and the double cheese burger looks all perfect and amazing but then you go there and you get a lopsided burger with cheese stuck to the wrapper and a bun shiney with grease. If they used real Wii players then the commercials would be packed with little kids and fat or skinny nerds with zits all over their faces.

I really don't think anyone cares about how they look when they're playing videogames. Well, I know I don't. It's not like people are taking my photo as I play or something.

Don't forget that in order to be a proper member of the elite social circle, you must be able to yell and/or type as many expletives in as short a time as possible, the louder/more badly typed the better. Bonus points for racial slurs. And your username in-game should always be something that asserts your gameplay skill and your opponents' relative worthlessness in a clear and understandable manner, such as 'I KIL U GAI N00BZ0R F@G ****ER ****S!!!!!11one'.

Nice job using the same picture for 4 different non-Wii games, but using different Nintendo marketing pictures for the three Wii games you mentioned.

Not only do people rarely look that animated, even playing the Wii (I can tell you that I didn't look that much different playing Zelda than I did playing any other game), but why should it matter? Should we stop watching TV because we look even less engaged most of the time? Should we stop reading books? 

Image matters, but it isn't that important.

It's arguable.

There's a fine line between not caring about image and being ignorant. The truth is, image plays a role in many things in life, likewise, the same for the industry.

A gamer may not care how he looks playing games, but in terms of the industry and public opinions/views, it can't be ignored.

The industry itself is more important to everyone in the business than how gamer's would like view themselves.

Wiimotes the same way at first you have a bit of fun but once you realize a slight flick is as good as a full swing you get lazy.
