And that is why Playstation 3 is the best system. It has tons of processing power and the ability to pump out way more polygons than the 360 or the Wii. That is why you will see amazing games come out for the PS3 that wouldnt be possible on the 360.

Sure the 360 can do textures better, but thats just because devs are very used to programing that way. By pumping out insane amounts of polygons on the PS3, devs will start to make characters and environments more detailed by adding polygons of different colors, thus making textures from the polygons. Plus the cell processor can easily handle any lighting effect dutys it needs to preform, with out slowing the game down.

Halo 3, you are awesome. Mario Galaxy, I will buy a Wii for you. But PS3 you will win this console war.

what good is it when all 3rd party devs r developing for x360 first?

both wii and x360 r forcing devs to create previous gen graphics for current consoles, but enjoy the 1st party ps3 games like KZ2 and others, they will look great.

I doubt it will win, but it will not be a huge terrible loss; however the next gen after this one Sony might win because they will hopefully learn from the PS3 mistakes.

Oh yeah. Totally. Polygons are really what makes a game fun. I never play a game with too few polygons. Because it wouldn't be fun. Because polygons are fun. Not gameplay, not character, not story - none of that crap. Anyone who says that those are fun is probably a fanboy. Or a communist. Or both. No, polygons are great. Probably better than Jesus.

Actually, games today often use fewer polygons than it seems. Detail now comes from bump-and-parallax mapping and other texture effects.

if ps3 game had high polygons counts then there wouldn't be need for anti aliasing, and looking at ps3 games thats not the case

is that why halo3 cant runin 720p and Lair on ps3 can run in 1080p?

When devs use the Cell the way its designed to and unlike with todays multiplat games that r nothing but ps2 and xbox games in higher def the PS3 just destroys xbox360 in the graphics department.

If it's impressioned upon the OP that the amount of polygons a format can push is a deciding factor in consumer purchasing decisions then this reader suggests he'd be sorely mistaken.

where is my proof?

u didnt hear that Halo3 is not in HD?

Lair is 1080p with all that stuff on the screen and yet halo3 cant even manage few enemies on screen at 720p
