Honestly at this stage in the game I don't even feel as those these consoles piqued yet. SO I can see another 4-5 years.

I expect quotes like this far into the neXbox life...Even if it's the lowest failer rate in human history... I personally never got a RRoD. So it doesn't effect me at all.

Trolling is bad. I thought that jasper fixed it. So far I haven't heard a claim about a massive amount of Jasper units failing.

well if you have a launch or close to it 360 MS has admitted that EVERY 360 has the defect that can lead to the RRoD. It's like the chicken pox, best to get it out of the way.

WHy do people assume Microsoft would release a console when they experience such heavy profit, why woild they release one during a econimical breakdown? Poeple here seem to believe they just make em and shi em out with consequences. This isn'tthe xbox 1 you know. This one is actually doing good.

The system will carry on as long as it needs to.

It's not as if it suffers a limited shelflife like the Gamecube or is bleeding money like the original Xbox... successful consoles have always been known to enjoy a lifespan stretching well beyond their own generation.

I'll be sure to let you know when my 360 breaks down because 4 years later, no problem...And it's be running in some pretty hot enviroments so I doubt it'll happen is this generation.

Ba-dum-duum-pish! 8)

Seriously though, no console is perfect. There'll always be a chance of malfunction. The red rings are only the sign indicating that something is wrong with the hardware. We could bust the lights or Microsoft could theoretically introduce an update to have the red rings not show up when something is wrong.

Regardless, the 360 is to my recollection still the most faulty of the three. >.> I'll consider the problem 'fixed' when the 360's failure rate is around the PS3's failure rate or better yet, the Wii's.
