This is a fanboy post but I will say that the Sony has some great looking titles to come out for next year. I am actually anticipating 3 titles. Twisted Metal, Ni No Kuni, and Star Shark.

I presume the earth shattering exclusive he was talking about pre-4 yeas ago was Halo 3...thus my responce. But I know critically it was eath shattering and even more so with sales, but if he was going off of that then his post would be debunked with the existance of Gears 3.

I said everyone doubted DS, yet it has become one of the most talked about games this gen even to have it's successor compared to the supposed best game this year skyrim. Basically, I'm saying I don't go off hype or bull when looking at games, I go off if it looks like it has something to offer. When everyone doubted DS I saw that it has something special, and I read what other GAMERS had to say about it and I went off that.

I bought it (imported for $80) and praised itbefore all the big reviews, before it achieved AAA on this site and before it was finally awarded RPG of the year and GOTY in 2009.

all I'm saying is TM also looks awsome.

The amount of damage control from cows these few days has been.. mind boggling. Sony isn't dying, calm down.

Got you, but I wasn't trying to make a direct comparison to the 2 games.

DS was an original title with 0 fan base starting out and very niche not allowing some to get into the game, TW however is already an established name and would be more accepted by casuals and game critics.

I was listing it for the sake of argument. I personally think H3 is a terrible game, but the fact of the matter is it got praised by critics, is loved by fans and sold a crap load of copies and that is the only title that could fit his description of earth shattering exclusive pre-4 years ago.

The fact that CoD came out and stole it's thunder is pointless in this discussion because we are talking about exclusives here.

Regarding just this year... I got Forza 4 for Christmas and I don't think it's that great, visually it's pretty and they do such a great job making the vehicles so customizable and the model detail is excellent, but still, it's kind of boring, I can't seem to customize the difficulty for myself to where it's just right, either the training wheels the game gives you make things feel too easy and cheap but when you go for more simulation it's friggin frustrating there's no sweet compromise in between; I think I easily like Dirt 2 or 3 more than Forza 4. I just started playing it the other day so my mind may change but for now I don't see what all the fuss is about. Anyhow, Gears 3 is great, I'm not so big on playing the campaign or competitive multiplayer but the Horde mode by itself is the most addictive feature for me and my friends. It's such a nail biter of a mode, especially in the harder waves when the heavies start to penetrate your defenses and all hell might break loose, and just in the nick of time you you got the mauler or grinder or your friend comes to your aid and helps you kill them in the nick of time, it's such a great feeling, probably my favorite game for teamwork, and again it's so intense, the headsets are always going crazy with friends freaking out like "help me, Boomer knocked me down" or "so-n-so, watch your back, Flamer coming atch'ya!!"; so exciting! Plus as a shooter it's effing beautiful visually. Plus, I know SW doesn't count Kinect for some reasonbut I'm really digging the Dance Central, and they came out with Dance Central 2 and its exclusive. As far as SW goes it's bad enough that motion games don't get any recognition its worse for Dance Central as it's a dance game... but man do I love to dance and as far as dance games go this is a lot more fun than playing Just Dance on the Wii (and hell I love that game too). Anyhow, I don't care what you judgmental people think, I love Dance Central. Oh, and downloadable games don't get much recognition either, but man Dishwasher: Vampire Smile is probably the best hack-n-slash / beat-em-up title to be released since Bayonetta. Toy Soldiers: Cold War was also pretty fun (though I liked the original one better, also exclusive). And as far as consoles go Skyrim is pretty much a console exclusive for the time being, since you know the PS3 port is kind of broken once the game save file gets too big.lamprey263

No, they were logically put into their own categories because the games were not interchangable between the systems. You can not play Kinect tiltes on a stand alone xbox360.

No, they were logically put into their own categories because the games were not interchangable between the systems. You can not play Kinect tiltes on a stand alone xbox360.

example:Virtua Figher 8.0 platform32x
