Halo 3's "killer" is only that of its predecessor Halo 2. If Halo3 can't overcome 2. Tisk tisk, sad. Thats 3 biggest competition.

yeah, none of the games that have been named the halo killer have actually done it, but why is it that if someone thinks killzone 2 will be better than halo 3 they are instantly called a cow, i've always preferred killzone over halo. Halo is a great game, i just like killzone better and i'm no cow, i'm sure there are others who think so too. That being said i never expected killzone to "kill" halo as far as sales go and i think it'll be a while before a game actually does.

Exactly. halo is good in its own special way, but if I had a choice to be stuck with either Halo 2 and xbox live or Perfect Dark all alone, I would go with Perfect Dark. People claim that games like goldeneye and PD are archaic and cannot stand up to FPS now. I thoroughly disagree. Honestly, the depth I enjoyed in PD's combat simulator is something I have not experienced in any other FPS. Well, except for Operation Flashpoint.

Goldeneye in its time is ten folds Halo today.

There is no halo killer, all that crap started with the media. It looks alot worse when the dev of the game says it and doesnt deliver, anyone remember fable creator, lol. He said it was going to be the final fantasy killer and was one of the most dissappointing games that year, lol.

I agree. PD is my favourite FPS and is probably my most played game of all time, all that time was spent with me and my friend playing the combat simulator every day, there is so much variety in the simulator and i dont think any other game will come close to matching it seeing as todays mulitplayer games are all about online, so i'd much rather keep playing combat simulator than any online fps.

I am glad someone understands! Know you see why I cringe when people say Halo 2's multiplayer has depth. It in no way has depth. Not saying it is bad, not at all. H2 has a great multiplayer aspect. But it lacks substance when stacked up to good old PD.

It's called Unreal Tournament 3? Maybe KZ2?

If there's going to be a game that's going to kill Halo, it'll be Bungie's NEXT shooter franchise, IMO.

Why is it anyone would try to market their game as a "Halo-killer"? As if Halo is the best FPS out there.

Where's a Counter-Striker killer? That's a game I want to see.
