N64 was better than the PSX, and both the Gamecube/Xbox were better than the PS2...In just about every way possible.
Wow your so right thank you for opening my ey.................................:lol::lol: not even close.
this gen - PC
last gen - PC
gen before that - PC.
Pretty sure PC won all gens.

PC does not run on generations. Also the games have been lacking, so much so that it caused me to stop gaming on the pc for the most part. Just wasn't worth it anymore. The games have become very dummied down in comparison to the Rainbow Six/Deus Ex games of years past.

it still has more high scoring exclusives this gen alone than all three consoles combined.
I have enjoyed the 360 lineup mixed with XBLA infinitly more than the PS3s since the generation began. XBOX deserves the sales it gets because it has an amazing library that appeals to gamers of all stripes and it is an amazing media hub for the living room. Enjoy your PS3 and leave it at that, its not "better" its just another choice.

I don't care about scores. I played pc games because they were far more advanced. Games that were impossible to acheive on consoles. This is gone for the most part, save for a few here and there. Most pc gamers will agree with me, I'm sure. I'm not saying it is a terrible platform for games, but it isn't what it used to be.

There's too many games to pass up on the PC, and I wouldn't say that there isn't a great selection of complex games unless you're just looking at what's popular.

lol not even close. ps1 and ps2 had thousands of awesome games, n64 had a handful, gamecube and xbox had less than a handful.

Like I said, here and there, but it has slowed to the point that I don't think owning a gaming pc is worth it. That is just my opinion, but in the past it was the pc that was always looked at as the , "jeez, I wonder when this will be feasible on consoles." Now, I'm not talking about graphics because pc graphics can potentially shame console graphics, but moreso the pc was a device that was used as a forerunner in game design. This is just no longer the case. I suppose the industry is just too big now.

Thousands? How about a link?
While I agree that Sony has had the best games the past 3 gens, both Nintendo and Microsoft have offered a substantial amount of exclusive games as well, certainly warranting the purchase of their consoles.
to me the ps3 gained ground in 2009, so they havent dominated this gen exactly, but i think they are the alter ego to nintendo
Nintendo's been in Gaming for a lot longer and have made some of the Best Games of all time.
What's your point?

As far as consoles go I'd say:
N64 > PS1
GCN > PS2
Though, I'd say for this gen as far as exclusives go the PS3 has surpassed the 360 and Wii.
Zero5000X
That's a Super Stretch.
The PS2 is just a freakin' Beast.
In that case PC wins SW by default as it doesn't even have generations. i5750at4Ghz
pc is always fourth imo, there is not a single game on the pc i want to play. every good game is on consoles, did pc even get red dead? pc has to pirate and emulate to get a decent game.

Gamecube had less good games, but the ones it did have were of a much higher quality.[QUOTE="i5750at4Ghz"]In that case PC wins SW by default as it doesn't even have generations. russiaAK47

The fact RTSs are almost unplayable on consoles alone makes PC > consoles, not to mention mouse and keyboard are better for shooters than D pads...

Eternal Darkness and REmake made owning a NGC worth it. In fact I busted those games out and played them on my Wii as an excuse to turn that dust collector on. Those games are still great, probably the best graphics from a standard definition game outside of maybe God of War...

Unfortunately, it seems that way--or more accurately put, perhaps there ARE no forerunners. Occasionally a developer puts out a game that bends the rules, it sells, and everybody else seems to copy it. Call of Duty is the perfect example. We've had clone after clone after clone. Now, risks could be made, and people would still buy it. Odd, if you ask me.
I don't believe anyone can even question the PS1 and 2's superiority, but 3 did let the ball drop quite a bit.

I question the PS2s all the time. It was the least of my favorite console last gen. Imo, it was filled with mediocre games, and games that were just enhanced PSX games. The gamecube put out more classics that I'd rather play today. I didn't own that many gamecube games, but I recently discovered the awesomeness of FZERO GX--best racer of that gen. Also, the Xbox really pushed things forward. We were consistently getting new and inventive games, not to mention the advent of xbox live which was just THE best--pc included--online way to play games. Now, before all you pc junkies tell me otherwise, let me say that it really wasn't the features of xbox live that made it awesome, but the community. People were EXCITED when they played these games online. This unfortunately isn't the case most of the time, especially taking XGame Chat into account.
You wonder why people choose to expand their gaming tastes beyond one platform? ...why? Is it so horrible someone owns all 3 consoles or something, lol.I wonder why people continue to buy wii and 360 when its obvious sony's playstation consoles have the best and most unique GAMES past 3 gens.
russiaAK47
I'll agree it has the best game this gen (UC2, loved it), but the 360, Wii, and PC all have great games as well. You can't judge a system by one game.

I own all 3 consoles and a gaming PC, only console i use is PS3 for the exclusives and get all my multiplats in the PC but 2 of my other consoles just sit there collecting dust specially the 360 because it has not had a worth while exclusive in a long time.I wonder why people continue to buy wii and 360 when its obvious sony's playstation consoles have the best and most unique GAMES past 3 gens.

That's too bad.
I own a 360 and a Wii and a 3DS and I've played all three pretty all year so far, I'm still missing games I didn't purchase from past years too.
