It might look similar to TEKKEN 6, but the graphics engine has been tweaked/improved to support up to 4 characters on screen at once. The character models were redone from TEKKEN 6 moving onward to TTT2.TTT2 will follow the same control scheme as the original Tekken Tag Tournament: One stick for movement and 5 action buttons. As seen in the teaser, there will be tag combos involving both characters tagging in and out-in succession to complete multi-hit combos/juggles. Walled stages remain and breakable walls/floors are still in the game. New mechanics and stage features will also be implemented. As seen in the trailer, there are some possible unique attacks depending on the character teams that are chosen (Ex. Jin & Asuka)."-SDTEKKEN

for arcades only atm right? eh..good news i suppose though tekken 6 was a huge disappointment and tekken tag 1 already has all the best characters so....ill pass

Ohhh snap! I can't believe this is happening, but I love it. I'm guessing this will release before Tekken X Street Fighter.

Edit: So, summer 2011 in Japan. Will that be arcade and home consoles? BTW, the graphics and animations looks sick. Better than Tekken 6 and the tag combos / throws are awesome.

I wonder if the annuonced Tekken 7 is still coming. I think it was turned into this.

Hopefully PS3 exclusive.

Hopefully no gimmick modes like Tekken Force.

Hopefully its just a TT1 but in HD.

Tekken Tag Tournament was amazing, I'm glad this game kind of keeps the style that the first tag had, (characters aren't stupidly buff). I really hope this comes to the consoles, cause it's a ridiculously good time to be a fighting game fan.

I remember not to long ago Harada said that Tekken 7 was in development. And then we found out that Tekken X Street Fighter is in development. And now we find out that Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is in development. Three games in development at once?

Unless he just originally just said Tekken 7 as a decoy to surprise people.
