I really feel like its apples to oranges. XBLA has enhanced arcade ports but also serves as a platform for all-new material. VC is like an archival of a ton of different systems' games that have not been on the market for a long time, giving folks the ability to go back and re-visit nostalgic games or people to go back and enjoy games they never got around to (legally). If I had to choose? Yeah I'd probably take XBLA since I still have all my old systems and games that I bother to play, and they all (mostly) still work if I want to play them.

This thread is ridiculous. Zelda OOT is just about out on VC and this kid says a Ninja Turtles game is gonna make XBLA better? He wasn't even alive when I was playing this game at Chucky Cheese's back in the day. So I want to ask you Poopinloop. How have you played this game to even consider it good or bad? Blackbond

Doom revolutionized the FPS genre like Half Life reinvented it later on but it is no way a game that is amazing to stand the test of time like Super Metroid has. Super Metroid is considered by many people and many webistes as one of the best games ever created. People still talk about Super Metroid nobody talks about Doom unless its a history lesson on FPS. Doom I and II were good though. Doom 64 was ewww. Damn biggest waste of $80 my dad ever spent on me....

I think the sheer volume of games being released on the VC along with support from SEVEN different systems makes it better than XLIVE. Sure the Online is awesome but they really need to put out more titles than they are.

Wow, my keyboard is messed up...hope this turns out okay. XBLA deserves mad props for popularizing the idea -- think there would even be a VC without XBLA? -- but Nintendo has put the smackdown on 'em with regards to quantity and quality. MS needs to churn out decent arcade ports by the handful to keep up at all. They could be doing better...like getting the big name games right before releasing them -- Street Fighter 2 *gasp*! MS is really obviously trying to tap in to what their consumers think, I think (i.e. HDMI, bigger HDD, increasing limits for XBLA, etc.), and so we'll probably see the service get better and better.

There was only one TMNT arcade game on the SNES I believe and it was Turtles in Time. This game wasn't on the SNES man only the Arcade and NES. I own this game and Turtles in Time.

Even with online play the pathetic collection of games in XBL Arcade don't stand up to NES Soccer.

Here: Geometry Wars, TMNT, ehh. VS. the VC: Super Mario World, Super Mario 64, Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Kid Icarius, etc.etc.

Don't even try to play that B.S. that everything needs online. face the facts, Microsoft will never come up with a game, new or old that can beat most of Nintendo's library. Not unless Ocarina of Time, Star Fox 64, Mario 64, SW:Shadows of the Empire, Mario World, Sonic, all come out for XBL Arcade.

Yes it does. I mean he just owned himself saying he played this game and all the TMNT on the SNES. The only TMNT on SNES is Turtles in Time and some stupid 2D fighter lol. Way to go Poopinloop. You self owned yourself for claiming you played a game you obviously haven't.

A fun but short game can not compare to all the hits already out for the VC. I have a 360 and will most likely pick it up but there are so many great games already on the VC they will never catch up.

Is there like an agreement with Square to put Chrono Trigger on XBLA or something. Just seems it would be more simple to put it on VC. Ah well. It will be successful no matter where that legendary game ends up.
