give credit where credit is due..i own a Wii (as well as a PS3) and i absolutely hate it to death. i haven't touched it since, i think, last november and still haven't beaten zelda. but that still doesn't take away from the fact that they are destroying everything else in existence.

Uhmmm....the number 2 spot is still up in the air. Why we would be arguing about the Wii when it is in a very comfortable first. It would be like arguing over what colour the sky is. it is pointless.

But I seem to recall not too long ago a number of debates from the sheep when they were fighting for #2 against the lemmings last gen. I don't recall ANY of them praising the PS2 for its accomplishments. Instead there was just PS2 hatred.

p.s. I have a Wii and I enjoy it.

Since as long as I can remember. It's how we ranked last generation PC > PS2 > Xbox > Gamecube... I think that's how the order went.

Sales don't do much for us gamers, so why should we care who's selling the most? We should care which produces the best games.

It's sig-worthy because it's such a damn stupid statement, not because it's smart or clever.

Music comparisons don't make sense, anyway. Music artists don't compete with one another in the way consoles do. You can own a Britney Spears album, and you still probably wouldn't think twice before buying a Ramones album or something. Or even a ****cal string quartet CD. Or a Bob Marley CD. But if someone buys a 360, chances are he's not going to buy a Wii or PS3 the very next day, or in the same purchase.

Sales can hurt a system though. Look at the Sega Dreamcast and Atari.

Also can someone count the amount of triple A games the PS3 and Wii has ( Overall). Finally only fanboys argue about these sort of things without getting off the computer going outside or playing a video game. Get a grip people and grow up.

there's a difference between wii gamers and 360/ps3 gamers. Someone who is used to playing ps3/360 games are not going to be really satisified with the wii library, and vice versa. So while kids and anime-loving gamers are buying the wii at record amounts, why should I care? NOthing that compares to Gears of War or Halo 3 or Assasins Creed, GTA4 is available on the Wii, and those are the games I love. NOt to mention the fact that there are very few major sports games propertly represented, which I also love to play.

It's the #1 selling console...whatever. Why should I care? I'm not going to go out and buy a console just because it sold the most, and than get stuck with wario world and friggin super paper mario. It doesn't work like that....at least in my opinion. Admittedly, you seemed to have fallen into the Wii hype and you have seemingly wasted a few hundred bucks. I wont' do the same, and instead i'll just stick with the console that has the games that I want to play. I really don't care if that console comes in #1, #2,#3, even #50.
