Halo 3 (aka Halo 2.5) seems like a Halo 2 expansion with revamped graphics . Im pretty sure Killzone 2 will be a much better game than Halo 3 even though the latter may sell better.
no1 has ever called killzone 2 a halo killer. and cows never called killzone 1 a halo killer. some dumb article said that and then every ms fanboy thinks the cows said it. GOD KNOWS killzone 2 will not beat halo3 in sales nor rating BUT HALO IS HALO its not the only agme in the world. I guerentee if people called halo3 a half life killer or mass effect a final fantasy killer they would both flop and every1 would hate on them like they did killzone.
btw, imo killzone 1 was an aweosme game, it just got repetative at times and it didnt deserve a darn 6.9 it was an 8 for me. not a halo killer but not a bad game at all.

I would've bought a 360 BUT i used common sense looked at the line-up and thought, naah i only really want 3 games on this. looked at sony's line up, realised there were about 20 or so games on the list i wanted.

People are hyping it now because that trailer looked awesome and the game is still over a year away. It will be a good game.
Saying anything is a "halo killer" is just stupid but that isn't even the direction you took this topic. You took it to the pathetic "why are cows hyping a game that got 6.9's sequel". Well guess what? That doesn't mean a damn thing. Killzone1 showed potential from the developers in a lot of ways but needed a lot more dev time. Then the developers made a good game with the PSP Killzone. There's no reason to think this won't be at least an AA game.

Why do you always go on about this?
1. PS is not about single games selling to everyone. It is about tons of different games selling to different people.
2. Top selling games were around 16 million with GTA.
3. Most of the best games did not sell more than 1-2 million. Hell Okami sold 250k and it was one of PS2's best games period.

With possible exception to uncharted, killzone 2 is the most stunning piece of software I've seen in a long time on a home console. Sony justified my purchase with that gameplay footage.

You assume that cows argue with "logic", but with such dubious quotes like "It'll sell 5 million without games" (even though it barely sold 3 million WITH games), "Our customers are paying for potential" (I think people buy game platforms FOR GAMES) or "I think it's too cheap" (at $600?!), I doubt that they used it lately.

Killzone 1 - Hyped Halo Killer, Flopped
Killzone: Liberation - 8.7 on GS and in the 9.0 on most other sites! Critical acclaim from critics. I dont know why people constantly ignore that this game ever existed. Those fanboy goggles must be hardcore.
Killzone 2 - NOT HYPED TO BE A HALO KILLER!!!!!! People are hyping the GRAPHICS to be better than Halo3...no one (to the best of my knowledge) has said "Killzone 2 = teh Haloz killaz!1!"
