Why is LittleBigPlanet on twice for the ps3? Am I missing something?

He wants the PS3 exclusives list to look bigger than it really is. The fact that we hasn't taken one of them off yet, proves this. Fanboys will do whatever it takes.

yup, because that will surely make the 360 DESTROY the PS3's list, let alone make the Wii's list look any less laughable

No...But what are you getting from counting the same game twice? A higher number than the 360, which is untrue. But, if it makes you feel better to lie, go for it. It only hurts your credibility.

It's silly to count re-releases.

Please, try not to act like you're the one who makes the rules here.

Even GS reviewed those.

As for Wip-Out, ok, let's just ditch it, but let's ditch EFLC as well because those are XBL games just as Wipout is a PSN game.

[QUOTE="toast_burner"] why? does it being on a different console some how affect its over all package?

Because it creates overlap and repetition. Both of which are unnecessary and makes things redundant and generally just unfair. If you want to count re-releases, then you have to stand by LBP Game of the Year Edition as well. If you don't, then that showcases a double standard.

Gamespot did not review LBP: Game of the Year Edition, God of War Collection, or Metroid Trilogy.

Difference is that the reviews under HD Fury are for the downloadable version not the retail. The reviews under EFLC is for the retail version, not the downloadable versions. The downloadable versions have their own seperate game page.

So, GRAW is counted as a 360 AAAE because it's so much dissimilar to it's PC counterpart?

Lord_Omikron666

Let me help you out buddy:D:

Genre: 360 version is a solid paced TPS while the PC version is a slow paced FPS. The 360 version plays more like Ghost Recon 2 while the PC version plays more like the original Ghost Recon, and I played the 1st 2 Ghost Recons and they aren't alike, I'm such a Ghost Recon fan, LOL.

Multiplayer:

360-Has 16 players and 10 modes: Team Elimination, Team Territory, Team Objective, Solo Elimination, Solo Territory, Solo Objective, Co-op Campaign separate from the main campaign, Co-op Elimination, Co-op Territory, Co-op Objective. There's more options to chose from than the PC version and more ways to customize your soldiers.

PC-Has 32 players and 2 modes: Co-op campaign for the main campaign(you'll need it) and Domination. And it doesn't have a lot of options either.

Campaign differences-Different level designs(PC version's missions are much bigger and more wide open than the 360's smaller and linear levels), mission objectives that while some are the same even though they are done differently due to the level design, a lot are different and even removed from one version while adding another, enemies are placed at different spots and altered(one certain spot could have a sniper in one version and the other could have a enemy with a rocket launcher). The PC version is much harder and more tactical than the 360 version. The 360 version has more music, the PC has a lot less, a lot of it repeats itself. Certain missions are removed from 1 version while added to another(for example, as soon as you start both games, you'll notice that the 360 version has a training mission while the PC version doesn't).

Gameplay differences:

360-You control 3 other teammates at the same time. You can tell them to be aggressive to attack more fiercely. They listen to your orders very well. There's a cover system to use. There's no sprint like the PC version since you are always running. You have to hold the L button to aim well. You can use tanks and gadgets. You can switch different teammates. There are on rails sections. You can revive teammates and even tell teammates to revive others.

PC-You can control 3 other teammates at the same time or individually. You can never tell them to be aggressive. They don't follow certain orders well. You have a sprint button, and you'll need it to move as fast as the 360 version since you always walk slow. The lack of cover due to the view is made up for a lean n peak. You can't use certain gadgets that the 360 version has, and no real tank support. You can't switch different teammates, you're stuck with the same 3 idiots. No on rails section. You can't revive teammates.

Because it's a re-release, just like Trilogy. I'm saying if you don't count Little Big Planet, then you shouldn't count God of War Collection or Metroid Trilogy. I mean, if Microsoft decided to make Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo 3 ODST into a Collection and sold it on the Xbox 360 -- should we count that on the list? That's just silly. Repetition, and overlap--there's just no need for it.

Why are there 2 LBPs there? And God of War collection? And Wipeout? None of those games count as far as proper AAA titles go.comeonthehoops
if these 2 doesn't count then ME and Gears don't count for the 360

So even though the retail comes with the original version along with Fury and priced more than twiced as much as the download, the review outlook would be the exact same? :?

These still aren't exclusive no matter what disclaimer you put up. You don't get to decide the rules.

Since GRAW is a 360 AAAE, I wondered if the score-wise superior Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 for the Wii was ever being discussed over being a AAAE for the Wii. I'm not arguing this, but I'm wondering if this was ever considered.

It may be superior, but is the gameplay and content different enough to be exclusive, that's what we want to know. It could be better programming, who knows.

Value is a big factor in reviewing games. Regardless, you can't "assume" that the review would be the same for a DLC version and the disk based version priced twice as much as the DLC. A year later would also hurt the game as well, afterall, standards change. ;)

IF your including game of the year editions then you would almost have to count every game twice.

Call of duty 4

Fallout

Gears of war 2

Oblivion

etc...

All have game of the year editions

how many time do we have to tell you? Wipeout HD is the same price as the DLC version!toast_burner
Wipeout HD on the PSN Store on my PS3 is listed at a price of $19.99. The DLC is $9.99. Nor sure where you got that come.

But value is entirely subjective. I honestlythink a retail version has more value that a DL version ;)

That's awesome.

IF your including game of the year editions then you would almost have to count every game twice.

Call of duty 4

Fallout

Gears of war 2

Oblivion

etc...

All have game of the year editions

opex07

Do they have AAA status in Gamerankings??

[QUOTE="TheArmyGuy48"]actually, it has the original + Fury, and it is only $20, aka the SAME price as buying them as DLC .Stevo_the_gamer

Just checked the PSN store page on my PS3 -- it's $9.99.

20 Pounds =/= 10 USD

You do realize that the Playstation Store is having a deal RIGHT NOW where everything is 50% off during the fall holidays right?

My fellow cows, and my Lemming adversaries......I think it is time to settle out differences. For it is not wether PS3 or 360 wins, we still have almost FOUR TIMES the AAA as the WII  We should not be fighting with each other, but instead, all of our efforts should be focused towards the Sheep. Lemmings, I am hereby offering a truce between the Cows and the Lemmings, so that we may turn our attention towards the Sheep, where it belongs. We are the real winners this gen. TOGETHER WE ARE UNSTOPPABLE!!!! *maniacal laughter*

TheArmyGuy48

It's time for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 fanboys to suck it up because no matter how low the editors standards are for PS3 and 360 games the Wii is far ahead in of both the 360 and PS3 in sales and therefore winning the system war. The PS3 and 360 fanboys should fight each other very hard to save their console from becoming GameCube tier (a.k.a. coming in dead last).

[QUOTE="toast_burner"] that makes not sense. wipeout HD contains the full game and its expansion. EFLC just contains two simple expansions

Wipeout HD isn't a full game its an arcade title, which is also just a remake of previous Wipeouts.

[QUOTE="TheArmyGuy48"]

EXCLUSIVES:

Sony PS3:

Microsoft Xbox 360:

Nintendo Wii:

Disclaimer: I am including 360/PC multiplats as 360 exclusives in this list. Last Gen ports/remakes are NOT included in the list.

-Tretiak

I now see this turning into another "console exclusive" thread.

no one is comparing PC in here so those are technically exclusive to 360 given the speficic systems, otherwise I'd list those pc/360 exclusivies under pc /360 exclusives so you can see that PC/360 have those games, and others do not

[QUOTE="Stevo_the_gamer"]It's silly to count re-releases.opex07

Please, try not to act like you're the one who makes the rules here.

Even GS reviewed those.

As for Wip-Out, ok, let's just ditch it, but let's ditch EFLC as well because those are XBL games just as Wipout is a PSN game.

Gamespot didn't review those games, and EFLC is made up of two expansions, not simple arcade titles like Wipeout, they shouldn't be compared.

actually, Wipeout HD is a retail level game. Your acting like this game is braid quality or something.

TheArmyGuy48

Was that sale still going on back in mid July? Notice the price in the link.
