With the recent purchase of Bioware and Pandemic I have realized Ea is trying to mononpolize the market with their products. They dont' care for the quality of their products Ea just rehases every year. If gamers don't stop buying their games they r going to have full control of the software market for consoles and it will be really difficult for other companies to compete with Ea. Its time wheter ur a sheep, hermit, lemming or cow to unite against EA. Otherwise were going to have one company releasing games not giving a crap how good their products r since they're have no competition. Anyone else agree?

I've never been a fan of EA. I don't even like their sports titles. But at least Mass Effect stays exclusive.

Knowing EA they the same ppl making mass effect won't be making mass effect 2. they going to ruin a franchise before the first is even released

This right here ticks me off in the most sincere form. First Msft should have stepped in to save Bioware at least. Now Ea will be the official publisher of future games. And Ea doesn't give a damn about the quality of their games. They want Money more than they care about their consumers and b/c we buy their games we will continue to allow them to buy their way into gamers wallet instead of actually earn any sort of respect with gamers. Ea is hurting the industry with this move. You may say that Bioware is the developer and their game quality wont suffer but just realize Ea wont be as involved as Msft and wont push Bioware to perfect their games yet only push them to meet a deadline to get some more green in their pocket.

I don't really mind them. I suppose it's like most people don't mind Windows.

I avoid EA like I avoid emo girls. The bigger they become, though, the harder it will be to avoid them. We need to do something against them. Any brave fanboys willing to do a kamikaze move? Do it for your gaming company.

I agree . THe only game I might buy is burnout and battlefield if they're good. All others are a pass. Seriosuly EA releases craptastic games so take away their bread and butter and don't buy their products.

EA will never have a monopoly on the market. Why? Simple, everytime they buy a company all the good talent will eventually leave and form a new company. They'll become a success and hopefully get bought by EA for a huge profit, only to eventually leave and form yet another new company. EA can buy all the companies and IP's they want, without giving devs free reign to make titles how they want to they will never be able to keep good devs.

From what I've seen and read so far, Dead Space just looks like Bioshock in space. I mean come on, the main character looks like a skinny Big Daddy! As for army of 2, that game does look pretty fun. I only hope that we don't see quality decline in Bioware games. I've been a long time fan of Bioware and I am kind of worried...

But you do understand that they own the IP's too... so when the good devs leave, your **insert loved franchise here** goes down the crapper. I agree with you 100%... but any IP EA buys/owns seems to just turn out sloppy.

As long as America exists and they make Madden games, they are going to stay around for a long time.

That only matters if the IP hasn't run it's course yet. Take Halo for example, the trilogy is over so if MS wants to run the series into the ground more power to them. Now in the case of ME, which is the first in a trilogy, this does suck as I just can't bring myself to believe EA won't somehow manage to turn the series into generic trash. It's a shame, but most IPs are sidelined by devs after a couple of outings anyways.

All of you signing kids, I hope you don't purchase the orange box, skate, army of two, burnout, rock band, Crysis, Spore, etc etc etc. Pirating is not allowed, either: After all, those games are craptastic, aren't they?

Kids, I know it's cool and feels like you're not a sheep (as in, sheep, not as in ninty fanboy) by bashing the big boy of 3rd party publishing. It's unwarranted, though. EA happens to have a rather large amount of great games under its wing.

If you wish to do something about it, don't purchase their bad games and do purchase their good games.

If you problem with EA involves their employee policies, then boycott away if you wish. Just don't be a hypocrite and get their games.

So Battlefield is a EA developed game? I thought it was created by Dice.
