Our games are suffering becasue of these cheap people. If it wasn't for these people we would have way better games. Therefore, Devs should be allowed to make some elite games using the Hdd. If these cry babies want to play it then go sell some thingto buy one. Oh wait, you can't be that broke, you still bought a 300 dollor system plus games, so you can afford to buy a Hdd. So stop being so cheap and stop holding our great games back

It still comes with an HDD. It has everything the 60gb has except for Wi-Fi and SD card readers, two very unnecessary features. Also, it's not even being sold outside of Japan right now, so you can exactly say it's another option.

1) 20 GB doesn't even exist in the UK and is being phased out worlwide!

2) Developers at least know that every Ps3 at least has a HDD

If your going to claim how you're 27, married, and with a 2 year old you should try to re-read your post and make sure that you get it halfway right.. HELL you edited it 3 times! Plus there is a spell check button and I recommend you use it.. Maybe then people wouldn't assume your an 13 year old.

PS2 didn't have a HDD.

And Peter Moore or J allard said that only 9 or 10 percent of devs used it last gen with Xbox.

First of all, I don't see what age has to do with this. I would say, it's ironic seeing both of you "insult" one another's grammar and spelling when both of you made several horrible mistakes (i.e. your != you're, etc.)

Can you please explain exactly how the lack of a HD is harming the Xbox 360.

So far all you've cited is that;

If you actually bothered to read the article, the VP of Rockstar (who is not a developer, but does work closely with them) said that both systems present a clear and fundamental challenge. No where in the article did he say anything about having to cut back the quality or content for the Xbox 360 version. The Xbox 360 Core will not be able to access the exclusive downloadable content but that does not really have anything to do with the original topic.

Also, you're using extremely fuzzy logic.

Developer X has to make cutbacks, therefore Developer Y will have to make cutbacks as well.

Even assuming that game developers will have to "cutback" the games (which in itself is an extremely vague term) that does not mean other developers could not find creative ways to work around the problem.

So really, all in all, your topic is a confusing rant that isn't based around any facts. It is pure speculation and fails on every single level.

Yea talk about an awesome company way to discontinue a model that fast...what about those people who feel ripped off now since they bought a 20 gig....at least with the core they wouldnt have to buy a new system to fix the issue...just get a harddrive

I was planning on getting a Core 360 because they are affordable. Since I already have a USB hard drive with 200 GB's of storage, what need would I have for the 20 GB drive which costs 130 CAD still The 360 drive costs more then what I paid to replace the drive in my external case and it has far less storage. I dont think there is anything wrong with owning the Core pack, especially if you dont need all the extra features. Certainly I do not need XBL Gold, all I want to do is play games online, so I dont need the extra stuff.DSgamer64

The 360 is not going to recognize your USB HD.

You're going to need a HD (only MS will work) or memory card to play online.

Uhm, I have a core.

1 - I dont need Wifi, I have it connected to a wireless router so my PSP can connect to it without worries.
2 - If I wanted it to read flash cards, I could buy a 10 dollar reader and plug it into the USB port.
3 - You forget that the hard-drive in the PS3's are 2.5'' standard harddrives, these aren't proprietary harddrives that I cant buy anywhere, I can actually pick up a 120gb at the local best buy for about 100 bucks CDN.

I'm not being a dick dude. I'm just trying to stickup for myself and other people who are successful and didn't go to college. Finishing college might say something about your ability to to commit, but it doesn't make you smarter than anyone and it certainly doesn't mean your going to be more successful in life then someone without a bachelors.

No matter how you spin it, games will not beas good as they can be without using the HDD. If Devs found "a creative way around the problem" just think how much better the game could ahve been with that extra source of power at their disposal.

I'm not trying to spin it. I am simply pointing out the horrible errors in your argument and logic.

Can you give me a specific reason why the HDD would make a game better? Could you give me any theory behind your ideas?

If you cannot, your post is inherently a failure. The only "example" you have given thus far was telling everyone how GTA was being downgraded for the Xbox 360 due to lack of a HD. Sorry TC, that is simply not true. It seems like you did not even read the article, let alone understand what was being said.

It is also becoming painfully clear that you don't understand what a HD would be used for in games. You fail to illustrate how a standard HDD would make games any better.
