I've been wanting to do this for a while now...

But I held off because I wanted the comparison to be fair. Now that we know enough upcoming games for both the systems, I decided to ask System Wars which handheld has the better upcoming lineup. It should be a much more interesting comparison than it has been in the past, that's for sure.

I'm not really into handhelds but the Vita's lineup appeals more to me. Still not enough for me to consider buying one though

The Vita's lineup is obviously more western, so I'd say it's better imo. The 3DS's lineup is good, but just more of the same.

All we need is a price drop and the vita will sell like hotcakes.

Both look good. I've always cared more about Nintendo's IPs more so the 3DS's looks more appealing to me. Been a while since I played Fire Emblem or Paper Mario

Both are honestly lacking. Also, SSB? No way in hell is it coming out next year. 2015 or laterCapitan_Kid

3DS for me, easily. The PS vita still doesn't have anything I feel like I can't get somewhere else. Except that media molecule game. That looks pretty unique to the Vita. For me, that's the biggest reason to get one.

Both are lackluster... I'm up and down with my 3DS, sometimes thought about just getting a Vita, thought about having both, having neither... For now I'm holding on to the 3DS but I'm very open to doing any of the things listed prior.

Barring those shared with PS3, games I'm interested in are bolded. So 3DS by a hair. I'm an odd case in that there are more existing Vita games that interest me but I only have a 3DS.

Well If you had asked me yesterday ago I would have said 3DS, but I'm still pumped about getting Ratchet and clank frontal assult, sound shapes, and PSASBR on both my PS3 and Vita. Most of the game I want for 3DS are already out though so its not a fare comparison. Overall 3DS has a better library but I am looking forward to more upcoming vita games currently.

This exactly. Vita was improved but 3DS is still better. Let's see what happens at Tokyo Game Show though. That will definitely solidify which one has a better line up.

Even though Sony announced some new titles today, my opinion hasn't changed at all. The 3DS line up is stellar, while the Vita's line up is meh.

At the very least first party titles are being made by top tier developers on the 3DS. There's a reason why Tearaway looks great - Media Molecule is making it! Why aren't more Sony first parties making Vita software? If this were the case you'd see better quality software which would entice more people to pick up a Vita!

On top of that I just don't see how Call of Duty or Assassin's Creed are going to a big impact on the Vita. It's obvious they're using successful IPs, but Nihilistic is making the Vita version of Call of Duty and the Assassin's Creed game isn't being made by a great developer either (with only one success, that too with the help of an industry veteran).

If Nintendo franchises aren't your thing, you're probably not going to be into the 3DS' line up. If they are, I don't see how you could be disappointed. It's high quality stuff from top tier Nintendo teams. I honestly wish I could say the same about the Vita.

I've always said that the Vita hardware is stellar, but if Sony doesn't give **** about it, why should I?

Unfortunately, both look pretty heavy on the console ports and spin-offs. I gotta go with 3DS for having games like Prof. Layton and Fire Emblem.
