I've Changed My Mind Again About Heavy Rain's Graphics

I thought the game Looked great when they showed the first screenshots, then later we saw new screens which looked downgraded. Now with these pics I think it looks amazing, specially the char models which I think rivel games like ME, MGS and even Crysis(talking only about char models obviously). I'm only worried about how it'll play.

was listening to the current Listen UP podcast and Garnet was talking about a scene he saw at gamecon where the main character was having a quiet night in with his son and that he had to choose whether to feed him, wash him that kind of stuff. he was really impressed

it always looked visually promising.. the latest vids/pics further confirmed to me HR will indeed look amazing.. I am also positive its story will be intriguing & thrilling :)

Surely gameplay approach is different from what we (gamers) consider as 'standard' but surely look forward to this game... it will be a nice addition to the PS3's exclusive library..

Yeah, the game looks incredible.
But the most important thing is that the story is compelling and the gameplay great!

I'm worried that this game is getting a lot of hype from people just for the top notch graphics. I'm just as excited about the gameplay (from what I've seen) as I am the visuals. I just hope people don't flock out to get this and then bash it because it's not what they expected.

this games gonna be sweet its really a diffrent take on games as a whole.Intresteting is an understatement in somecases i cant wait to play it.Because the game seems rather open ended in decision making and how it affects the game as a whole it will be cool as it will never be the same game twice.

The game looks fantastic, the premise is fantastic, the concept is fantastic, let's just hope this hype doesn't cause the game to fall flat on its face.

I'm really looking forward to this game so I hope it delivers.

Games that don't have gratuitous amounts of blood and gore probably don't interest him. The idea of a game that thrives on making the player immersed in the story is probably mind boggling in his eyes

It would be great for this game to succeed as a big budget innovative title because the last one - Mirrors Edge didn't do so great. So hopefully It means we get more dev's trying something new.

The guys behind this game, did makeFahrenheit, which was one of my favorite games last gen.

I really hope this game isn't hyped on graphics alone. This seems to be an intriguing tale and story. I can't wait to play it, but seriously hardcore sony fans stop hyping this as KZ2 killer or Uncharted 2 killer, this game seems to be a class on it's own.Solid_Max13

Oh please, getting excited about choosing to feed your son or give him a bath actually sounds impressive? Sure the story might end up bring great, but make up and feeding and bathing do not sound that entertaining. Personally I don't like these types of adventure games. That is just my personal preference though so I might sound a little bias.

Lol they are on par with HL2 cm9.0? Funny because I have that installed and these look considerably better... Now the only game i think matches it is Mass Effect on pc. Crysis I wouldn't mention since besides the main 4-5 characters all the Koreans look identical with maybe 2-3 variations on the face.

No jaggies, no texture blur, looks like this game is running at 24X anti-aliasing and 24X anisotropic filtering... Smells like bullshot to me.

Did you watch the new gameplay trailer? The Convenience store one? I don't remember the character graphics 100%, but I'm pretty sure it looked almost identical to those pics. also what do you mean 24XAF? The peoples faces are extremely close up... That could easily be 2 x AA and 4 X AF. I would agree if it looked like that and they were standing 50 feet away, but they are right in front of the screen.

This is just a boring movie with a ton of QTE. First off you do not even know how good the story is for this game. Also there is no gameplay to be immersed in unless you consider walking from one QTE to the next QTE gameplay.

Well you do get to walk around and investigate the placec that your in. If it's like Indigo Prophecy there are times which involve stealth as well. Regardless I'm sure this will be a great game and a day 1 pick up for me for sure.

Maybe those small acts may not sound impressive, because they are not. But it's things like that that will make you feel immersed in the story. After you do those things for your son and taking care of him, then you gets kidnapped by a murderer, you may care a little bit more than rescuing some random kid who you have never really interacted with.

Would you rather it be something like this:

Who cares about the guys daughter? You don't even know who she is or anything about her. For all you know she's a little brat that you'll later regret saving when she kicks you in the shin.

Having to take care of someone in the game will make you actually give a damn about the kid
