I've never understood why.. (Assassin's Creed)

gets so much hype. I saw the E3 footage, and yes it was good, but people have been hyping it to the moon since last E3. Why?

I agree, nothing about it really grabbed me as anything special.

Personally, I was a bit shocked at the ammount of gameplay bugs that were in. At one point, the thing went into a kind of slowmo for a slash attack, but as it left slowmo, the ragdoll that was flying off the building just kinda stopped in mid air, and hte girl playing it just kinda had this nervous sound in her voice as she ran far away from it XD.

Perhaps your taste in games differs from others? I myself am extremely excited for the game. The free-running is something I have always wanted to see in a game.foxhound_fox

but the graphics comparsions to Halo 3 are out of control. They're completely different. Halo is colorful, and AC is the total opposite. Plus the character models aren't anything special.

Well I agree it gets a bit too much hype but it's not looking bad either.

It got me hyped the most when it was announced. Now I see is some more PoP with more stealth. The combat we just saw was just like PoP which I thought didn't have good combat. And the kill sequences weren't as good as I expected. The best I've seen so far in the game is the free roam and all the stunts he seems to be able to pull on the towns.

Free running FTW. I love any game that you can do wall jumps or runs. Even Mario 64, Spent an hour or two just runnign around the castle wall jumping.

Ninja Gaiden Black FTW. That games looks better than AC (animations, combat, fluidity, etc) and the game is how old? :lol:

It's an interesting premise, but they had better iron out the bugs from the E3 demo by release. Sketchy combat and random clipping issues aren't attractive at all.
