IYO what will be the top 3 multiplayer games this year?

So System Wars, what do think will be the top 3 multiplayer games this year? What do you think will be the 3 games you go toward for all your competitive "needs."

I'll start off I suppose. *Pics optional*

My most played/enjoyed multiplayer game this year will be, without a doubt, LBP2. LBP is probably my most played game of all time and LBP2 is just better in every single way. The fun I have with friends included.

My second place will go to AC Revelations. The multiplayer in BH is just terribly underrated. It is fun, balanced, and feels very fresh and original. I never thought I'd say this, but I'll be getting this Assassin's Creed game for the superb single player along with the equally as good multiplayer.

Third will go to Uncharted 3 I suppose. The multiplayer in Uncharted 2 had some problems but was overall very fun and enjoyable. Not bad for a first try I'd say. Uncharted 3 looks like it improved greatly. As of now, I'll still be getting Uncharted 3 more for the single player but the multiplayer is no slouch either. Looking forward to the beta soon!

In all honesty, I don't care about any MP games this year except Gears 3. And if I hadn't played the beta, I wouldn't have cared about that because of my experience with Gears 2.

I agree about your statement regarding Brotherhood's multiplayer. It was pure awesome. Very well balanced.

- NHL12 - MW3 or BF3 (they will play too differently to play both a lot) - Twisted Metal....finally something different to play online.

Overall it will be between MW3 and BF3,Gears 3 being the only one close to them. Personally,to me it will be F1 2010,rFactor2 and Red Orchestra 2.Arach666

Do you mean sales wise? As far as Assassin's Creed goes, each game has sold, I think on average, about 9 mil each.

1. Battlefield 3 - It's Battlefield. What more do I need to say?

2. Dead Space 2 - It doesn't have a ton of people playing, but it's actually a really interesting take on multiplayer. The most fun I've had online in a couple of years.

3. Guild Wars 2 Beta - That probably doesn't count, does it?

4. Red Orchestra 2 - I still haven't played the first, but it looks awesome and the sequel looks even better. One of the many reasons I'm building a new PC.

While I agree that the multiplayer won't be touched as much as the other titles, why would AC:R sell less than Gears 3 and to some extent B3?

Gears 2 sold 5 mil copies when in the same time frame AC sold 9.

I couldn't find anything specific, but I think Bad Company 2 sold about 5 or 6 million copies. I'm sure Battlefield 3 will obliterate Bad Company 2's sales figures but eh. I just threw that out there. I can see B3 selling incredibly high, up there with MW3 (world wide), or sell around AC level (which is still really high TBH).

Definitely not MW3, it's going to be crap just like Black Ops and MW2.

BF3,Forza 4 and Ace combat assault horizon (providing it isnt overrun by those guys who just spam the most powerful plane/wesp)

Speaking of AC Revelations, I hope they make multiplayer load faster.

1) Gears 2- The beta kicked so much *** and was an improvement in every way over 2.Can't wait to put many hours into it

2)Battlefield 3- Dice did an amazing job with BC2 and even though I've never played 1 or 2, I'm extremely excited by what I've heard so far, with jets and all the other cool aditions

3) Modern Warfare 3- The COD games always have good mutliplayer that's extremely addticting.I didn't like BO as much as MW and MW2, but I anticipate that the new Infinity Ward will put out a great game, judging from the gameplay I've seen so far.

Assassin's Creeds multiplayer is a shameless The Ship ripoff, not only that but in order to avoid a lawsuit Ubisoft obtained the publishing rights to game and in turn cannibalized the company. Little Big Planet 2 while good, was a disappointment, Diablo 3 will most likely not get released this year and if Demon's Souls is anything to go by, Dark Souls will have an unbalanced multiplayer that just isnt very fun.

Well I DEFINATELY agree with you on LBP 2, I loved the first one SO much that I got the second game on launch, but it's aready out so in terms of what I'm most looking forawrd too that would have to be Uncharted 3. It will definately be awesome (I'm downloading beta right now)

So for me it will have to be

1. Uncharted 3

2. Resident Evil Operation Racoon City (I'm a big Resident Evil fan and co-op looks awesome)

3. Battle field 3 (sorry mw3, you look LIKE EVERY OTHER COD)

and I guess if I could choose a 4th it would be between Gears Of War 3, Twisted Metal, and Halo Combat Evolved Aniversery remake
