Uncharted flopped even harder. I thought Lost Odyssey wasn't coming out until next year. Didn't even think the game was done yet. Considering the XBox 360 only has about 500,000 units sold in Japan, 40,000 units sold isn't a bad number. Almost 1/10 of 360 owners bought it the first week. It'll sell a lot better here in the states anyways.

It's nota flop when it only has 500K XBox 360 sold in the region. The PS3 has almost 1.5 million sold and Uncharted only sold 7K? Now that's a FLOP!!

LO is for the Japanese market, Uncharted isn't.

I really hope the No More Heroes numbers pick up. That game looks awesome and deserves to sell.

DQ 9 isn't out yet. It was DQ 4 that was released.

EDIT: But yeah, my DS has a lot of RPG goodness. I have several I need to finish and the best part about having them on the DS is that I can take them with me and play them on my spare time. I think that's the biggest appeal since RPGs do take long periods of time to complete and having them with you to play whenever you want is definitely a big plus.

I'm guessing about 150k for Tales of innocence this week (should pas 300k total in japan) which is very good. Final fantasy 4 is out in japan soon as well which should be great

Yeah Yeah...I know I made a mistake everyone has told me that. Which in my opinion is almost just has good. DQ4 was one of my favs on the NES. I still have one mint in package.

Well it's good to see that core gaming is slowly coming back to Japan but there's still the fact that third party sales are low there. But the thing is it isn't just a Nintendo thing, this is going on with the PSP, PS2, and PS3 as well and 2007 is near over and by my knowledge there is only one third party million seller out of this entire year. It's not that third parties don't sell with Nintendo but that third parties don't sell in Japan.Gunraidan

Actually, for Japan, 40k is quite good. I think you guys are being blinded by the super sales of games like Halo and Guitar Hero.

40k is pretty good for a game at launch. Even better in Japan, and it's especialy good considering this is an X-box 360 game. And it's astonishing a 360 game to second place in the Japanese sale chart.

Uncharted is not a game targeted at the Japanese market.

If FFXIII sold 40,000 on its launch day, then the PS3 would have a big problem.

As it stands, LO did not turn out to be the Final Fantasy killer it was hyped to be.
