i cant believe im saying this. PSP IS KILLING EVERYTHING, AND WHEN I SAY EVERYTHING, I MEAN EVERYTHING. i have never seen this type of sells in my life, beating ds, almost 3 to 1. woooow

and man the wii fad seems to be kicking in, and hahahah at the 360. this is the reason ps3 will catch up, whne mgs4 hits,omg, them ff13, and the t6. japan alone will help the ps3 catch the 360.

Yeah, the PSP slim came out in Japan last week. That's why its numbers were up. Also, FF7 and MGS helped sales.

I lovereading the comments of those who don't keep up with sales figures on a weekly basis. Ignorance is bliss.

Everything that has happened over the past months is perfectly under the normal turn of events for this time of year in Japan, and everyone knew that the PSP would experience a large boom when they finally got Crisis Core. Add in a re-design, and you've got this week's sales figures.

It's not like no one saw this coming.

Huh? The previous week the PSP outsold everything as well. This is the second week in a row.

This means nothing because...

1. The DS and Wii are supply constrained.

2. PSP just got a redesign. Not to mention, one of Japan's biggest franchises was just released on the system. It's only obvious the PSP will sell well for a couple of weeks.

Nintendo still owns Japan.

A little unexpected, but good news for Sony.

Not if they just get the damn price of the PS3 down.......................................

How will it fair then is the big question....And if you think FF7:CC was bad......Well.......DS got this little game called Dragon Quest IX......I wonder how well the DS do when that game hits the fan!

...Halo, GTA, Madden.....Although by the end of this generation, I do think SSBB might have the chance to top Halo 3 and GTA 4 sales figures (If it achieve attach ratio any where close to the SSBM and GC attach ratio).

I laugh because it wasnt long ago we had DS sheep telling us teh PSP failed or the greatest mistake they made calling it dead LOL at those sheep funny how things can change so drasticly in gamingchrisoff_1

Lol, this is the second week the PSP outsells the DS. It has been the other way around since the DS was released. :roll:

Again, the big test is when the Slim and FF7:CC hype dies down. Then the real acid test for the PSP slim begins.....I think it will return to normal. FF:CC was the last thing that can pick up the PSP and now that's gone and DS's 800lbs gurilla hasn't even arrived yet (read DQ:IX).

SSBBwill probably out sell halo3 but with GTA4 being multiplat I doubt it can beat it.
