Without FFXIII....I don't think nothing will. And no, MGS4 doesn't count. MGS never do well in Japan. It'sa "Western" series.

Alot of people expect Folklore too.

Can't sony just stop making the PS3 and keep pumping out those PS2's while making some kind of Wi-mote device and try and go head to head with the Wii?

With a huge library of games and Wii-mote controls that could be mapped to those old games...... well.... :)

I think the Japanese, American and European markets are the most important markets for the video game industry. Other Asian markets doesnt seem to be important to the gaming industry.lordlors

I live in Philippines where PC games mostly MMORPGs rule. So its also the same with other Asian countries. I'm sick of MMORPGs. Most of them are trash (worse graphics than WoW, Guild Wars) and yet they are still very popular. Most people are blinded as to what a great RPG game really is. Even WoW and Guild Wars arent very famous in my country. Mostly what they do always are socializing in a game rather than playing. I'm a hermit and i really hate online multiplayer games. I prefer single player games with great storyline and plot than multiplayer games with mindless or senseless leveling up and stupid stories to no plot whatsoever. Do you know why these trash MMORPG games are the most popular games in other Asian countries than great games from consoles? So do you mean other Asian markets are not needed or useless in the gaming industry?

Well if you go by first day sales Folksoul is at 7000 compared to NGS at 20,000 So wahats thew next Wait for game?

Because japanese sales are compiled weekly, so we have a weekly discussion on that. American sales are compiled monthly, so we have a monthly discussion on that. European sales are compiled accidentally every blue moon, and we have a once in a blue moon discussion on that.

Probably Eternal Sonata being released caused a bit of a sales jump, I heard it has sold fairly well over there (entitled Trusty Bell) so it is no suprise there will be a bit of a sales spike because of it.

Zelda does sell well in Japan and it comes out on the 23rd there. Dang, looks like I might have to import it if I want to play it this year. And FF12: Revenant Wings came out for the DS earlier this week as well.
