I dont think its about the PS3 anymore. Its not longer overpriced there. Its at the same price PS2 was when it was doing numbers like Wii is doing now. It even has the games like Gundam hotshots Ridge Racer Armored Core Devil May Cry Virtua Fighter, Ratchet, Dynasty Warrior 6, Yakuza, Winning Eleven, Time Crisis, and MGS4 is riiiiigght around the corner about 2 months away.

It has games now, it hasnt been about games for a long time. Japan simply choses one console per gen and they run with it, period, and every other console that isnt chosen will struggle, and noone is immune to this. Either your console is #1 by a large margin or you trail hardcore. When I look at that above list of games and compare it to what the Wii has its a joke, if it was about games, PS3 would be winning not losing.

Not many japanese really follow ninja gaiden since it's latest predecessors have mostly been on Xbox. Had it been on the GC or PS2 story might have been different.

Actually the Wii, DS and PSP all beat the PS3 in Japan. The PS3 beat the 360 in Japan but that's like beaing a blind man at darts.

Look at that list of games I made again dude, 90% of those games had versions on the PS2 last gen that sold 500k+ and some were million sellers EASILY. They HAVE games that cater to the Japanese audience now. Its not like I listed CoD4, Resistance, Heavenly Sword and stuff.
