PS3 will get a bigger lead till the holidays, where sales will skyrocket for all platforms.

It won't keep up the sales until the major games come out, but when they land in many different months next year, the PS3 should do very well in sales.

Better than the Wii? Who knows...will be interesting to see what happens.

But I am also too much of a Nintendo fan to want it to do better than the Wii :)

I did, probably just got buried in the 500 other comments. I said Mass Effect flopped on technical issues, which should all be fixed by Mass Effect 2. I'll be stopping by EB tomorrow to pick up my pre-order.

Uncharted didn't technically flop, but the score sort of confirmed my recent impression that it's a solid rental, but not worth a purchase.

And as the holidaze goes on, Wii in Japan will become even more constrained! That's because despite all that, Christmas is NOT the most important holiday in Japan or any other Asian country! Christmas is more of a Western thing than a Eastern thing. Japanese most important holiday rush begins at around Feb or so with the Spring Festival (AKA Lunar New Year) and end about 1.5 months later with the three weeks bonanza "Cherry Bloosm Festival". So when that arrives, you may see more units going the other way! For now though, I can forsee Nintendo shifting more and more units to Europe and America by foresaking Japan a bit.

Its due to the cheaper 40gig version coming out, same thing happened with the PSP slim. I'd expect it to drop within the next couple weeks.hiho24

once the PS3 starts dropping the big jrpg's and metal gear 4 its going to be bringing in heavy sales....Gran Turismo 5 is going to reportedly have 900 cars listed and the japanese cherish this series just as much as final fantasy and dragon quest......system sellers...

Once the big JRPGs start coming out, the ps3 will kill the wii over in japan. Europe and North America are still up for grabs, but im guessing the wii will end up last in the end. I have a feeling that Gran Turismo will win Europe again, ps3 could still come out on top. Sony just needs a big hit in North America.kevy619
