Honestly, I was hoping this was the real design.

If true, it seems both MS and Sony are trying heavily to increase cooling for better parts. It's gonna be interesting to see the finalized XSX vs PS5 consumer design.

If true, I think I am gonna puke.

I still highly doubt that's how the consumers version is going to look.

It would be kinda cool if they made it a V design because the VR headset attachment would rest/fit into that area when not in use.

Not sure why people give a shit how the box looks. When it comes to a gaming system it's all about what's on the inside.

When you see a sleek sexy box you can gurantee it's going to be weak. Do you want a beastly gaming console? Or a piece of furniture.

I really hope that it doesn’t look like the V-shaped dev kit. I think that’d be a really silly design.

Agreed, but a console isn't exactly a showpiece for the living room. It is embarrassing playing on a console. So, I understand why MS has gone with a more PC tower design for the XSX. ;)

On topic, I don't care too much about what it looks like, but I also hope it looks better than the dev kit. Dev kit looks functional, but very odd.

@BassMan: If there both 10+ Tflops on RDNA2 that's pretty impressive.

I do care. I mean if you have an really good home entertainment setup you really want your stuff to be aesthetically pleasant.

Oof. Not a fan of the look, but I’ll do the same thing I did with my PS4: cram it into my entertainment center and dust it off every couple of years or so :P

I couldn't care less how they look. Just work as intended and give me good games and a few new experiences and I'm good to go. People who want consoles and things to look pretty are probably the same people that only like games with a shiny coat of paint.. who in the hell cares? As long as it isn't completely ridiculous I don't think it matters.

@r-gamer: Sure. A console is slap bang in middle of most people's view when they look at their entertainment system. It's like looking at an ugly girlfriend. Yup, she might be nice on the inside, but you just know you'd go for a better looking one.

Aesthetics are very important, and I seriously doubt the final ps5 will look anything like the dev kit.

@sealionact: C'mon man you don't care what it looks like, because a soon as the game boots up you never look at the console again until you put another game in.

Looks are the last thing a console should be judged on.

@sealionact: That's funny because those sexy boxes usually pump out ugly graphics. I rarely look at the box I look at the games being played on them. So yea looking at ugly graphics is more like looking at an ugly girlfriend.

@r-gamer: Depends on what you call a sexy box. If Sony launch the ps5, and it looks anything like the dev kit....that's not sexy, and it would definitely influence me not to get one. Again, I'm pretty sure they wont be that stupid.

Neither next gen console will have "ugly graphics", so you dont have to worry about that....

I ain't gonna lie, that's a hell of a good looking fridge right their. For once, ProtossRushX did something good, if there's an XSX fridge model, I'll gladly pay for it since my fridge is 8 years old and it's time for a new fridge.

@r-gamer: As to how much it would influence me to buy it....Id honestly still buy it if I really wanted it. a 4 maybe. I thought the original xbox was hideous, but still bought it. I did think it was an eyesore though and yes....it bugged me. I hate cables and clutter and refused to buy an xbox one s, because it was only available in white and my amp was black.

I like things to blend in, what can I say.

TBH, that's a solid looking fridge. Black appliances are coming back into style atm. Black kitchen sinks and faucets are in, and black appliances, although few-and-far between atm, are coming back into style.

I'm only commenting on this image, but I doubt it's a hill you wish to die on, considering it looks on point lol.
