RE5 is like #2 on the fumitsu most wanted Yeah, for PS3. They shouldn't waste time on the 360 RE5 bundle. I guess it'll push some consoles but the PS3 version will obviously sell better. But Microsoft isn't trying to outsell PS3, they just want some sales. Star Ocean 4 bundle will do things but not for long.
Also a PS3 Advent Children Complete+FFXIII demo is coming in March in Japan. So I can't imagine Star Ocean 4 helping for to long. It'll get overshadowed.

Not exactly, they should delay SO4 in Japan. That Advent Children Complete bundle will overshadow the SO4 bundle. It would be smart to release before or after that ACC bundle.

Agreed, you can't deny that at least they try. PS3 version of RE5 will probably outsell 360 one in ratio close to 3:1, but it will probably generate constant buzz up till Star Ocean premiere and then the sale will go to the roof (in Microsoft's Japan standards).

They are seeing a return on their trying though. The 360 before July 2008 looked like it would never hit 1 million this generation in Japan. Now it is about to hit that mark with in the next 2 to 3 months. This could propel the 360 to its best year in Japan yet.
They should make the RE5 an arcade bundle as well. These aren't really bundles imo though. Xbox Arcades sells for Y19,800 according to Wiki. Kotaku has this bundle as being Y24,800. For me, a console with a "bundled" game means that the game is free, not that they increase the price of the package. Its seems to be cheaper than buying the system and game separately though... but still. Considering how much better they are doing elsewhere in the world and profit from that, I think they should be a bit more willing to eat a lil loss in Japan. Its not like they will sell 20 million bundles and the cost will be sky high. They'd be lucky to move 500k of these total.

By a demo ? I doubt it
Not just any demo, but a final fantasy demo. Yep A Playstation 3, Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete, and to top it off Final Fantasy XIII demo. Final Fantasy is popular in Japan, it'll sell very good whilst overshadowing Star Ocean 4. Microsoft should consider moving the date. Releasing Star Ocean 4 in the same month as something that big is nonsense.
