VF5 only sold 48,346 copies, major disappointment. VF5 only spiked PS3 sales by a little bit, not even woth mentioning. Sorry Sony, Nintendo owns you this time around in Japan, DSL and Wii continue to dominate everything in sight.

I thought GC sold less than 5 million in Japan, only a bit more than 4 million......

I think Wii will easily end up selling more than 4 million in Japan this year, which mean it's only going to take Wii a year or so to surpass GC's lifetime sales in Japan.

Only since the DS and Wii. The GC and GBA did sell well, especially the GBA but the DS is selling better and the Wii is selling better than the GC. They are quality products and it doesn't have much to do with brand loyalty otherwise Sony would be killing Wii sales with the PS3.

It's understandable because VF5 is a very popular arcade game. Since VF5 for the PS3 is not online, why would they want to play a fighting game by themselves when they can beat the tar out of each other and talk trash with real people at the arcades?

Arcade is still huge in Japan, y` know?

You think VF5 did really good, hey, great for you, so you don't have much expectation for VF5, does that mean other people including Sony and their fans expected VF5 to only sell 50,000 copies during first week? You can't honestly tell me companies and fans expected to see this kind of poor sales out of the game, can you? When I call it a disappointment, I think I put things in a fair perspective, why should I think up excuses for VF5's poor sales?

I actually expected VF5 to sell worse than what most cows hyped it up to be.

50,000 sounds like it's doing very well for you, but that sounds like major disappointment to me and many others, that's all, not saying you can't have your own expectation.

Yes it is in term of sales, we all know it's disappointing. I don't make excuses about stuff like this, that's why I call VF5's first week sales a disappointment.

I don't think anybody changed the subject. You were saying VF5's first week sales isn't disappointing to you, so that's your opinion. I said it's disappointing, that's my opinion. The guy is also calling it a diasppointment. Different opinion from different people.
