Wow ive never seen something on amazon reviewed that wildly. I wonder how its going to do on english sites like gamespot, ign, etc.

The up and down opinions on this damn game are too much, not trusting any user reviews.

Seems more like they are pissed at it for not being like other final fantasies and are giving it a bad score on purpose.

I don't know what to expect anymore. The opinions are so mixed, I won't even read anymore until I buy it.

Can't say I'm surprised, Amazon Japan has always been like that.

why are people **** FF has always been linear. FFX was extremely linear but it was fun as hell.

Which is what I find so hilarious. Final Fantasy is notorious for changing a LOT of its mechanics with each new installments, and those people are acting like it's a new thing. I know I'll enjoy it, because I know I can trust SE and anything with the FF name on the box. That's all I need.

User reviews of a game are normally terrible. This plus the fact i rarely agree on what the Japanese find are good games.

Now if the user reviews were made by a small pool of like minded individuals then maybe id care.

Lol, maybe they just have high expectations. We havent actually played the game yet so we can assume the game is actually good.

It's important to make sure that the people that are rating FFXIII have at least purchased it first.

Those user scores are insanely mixed. I wouldn't call this a love it or hate it game at this point.

There is really no need for this "us versus them" ethnocentric arrogance here, especially since most here are Westerners who still have yet to learn about Japanese gaming culture.

I find user reviews are more helpful then sites like Gamespot. Except maybe sites I use often such as Eurogamer.

They did the same thing with DQIX, just because the game was on the DS instead of a 'proper' console
