In before Japanese really like their games / other jokes. On a related note, no surprise for Dynasty Warriors 7 being on top.

I'm still unsure why Nintendo won't just drop the price.

Like, I get it. They make money, but I just have this suspicion that if the Wii cost $100-$150 tens of thousands of more units than it does now, and that'd result in tens of thousands of more game sales each week.

Especially in Japan. PS3 became popular enough to support with games, so it's gotten some pretty popular games over there as of recent, and we all know the PSP/DS were already incredibly popular. I imagine a $200 Wii just doesn't look appealing next to those items.

Not all of Japan is destroyed. Thats what some people conclude that the island nation as a whole is destroyed. Only the North is damaged,The south is probably ok,but has Volcano problems but thats over. Middle region which is Tokyo is still active. People are shopping and such but most stores are closed to preserve energy.

Ya I know. I was just pointing out that I don't think that played a large role as Ps3 sales still increased. I guess they both would have had more sales were it not for the crazy **** that happened.

You come off as an a-hole and its extremely disrespectful (thats how i was taught). Plus look at their top ten, its filled with their style/culture/anime based games its what they like, its what they buy.

▲ So I come off as and "a-whole" because I base a perfectly legitimate opinon based off fact. It really sounds like to me that you love japan, like rabidly love japan and you're easily offended over really nothing. And too the bolded part - that's the point. They only seem to buy their own games. ▲

I just think you have to throw out the past couple weeks and the next couple of weeks as well, because they won't give you a true indication of consumer demand, due to the bevy of external factors affecting millions of Japanese.

It makes perfect sense as Western games aren't always localised to the japanese language, whereas quite a lot of japanese games are localised to the west. Does it really matter where the games are developed?

I think the only reason the psp sold a ton this week probably has something to do with that disaster and how it's pretty cheap compared to the Wii.The Japanese people may also be cash strapped.I bet all the systems sales will decrease rapidly next week. I bet the Wii will be a bit higher on the charts in a couple of months.

actually the ds leads overall wii is 2nd overall psp is 3rd overall ps3 4th overall 360 dead last

can not count 3ds and ps2 with current gen consoles they are not part of the 7th gen they are last gen /8th gen-3ds

so its no suprise wii is slowing in japan everyone has one , 3ds came out plus the earthquake had its effects dont forget some stores may have got ruined along with consoles and handhelds ga,es etc

due to the earthquake your lucky to see games still selling over there atm

youd think the main concern would be disaster relief !

actually the ds leads overall wii is 2nd overall psp is 3rd overall ps3 4th overall 360 dead last

can not count 3ds and ps2 with current gen consoles they are not part of the 7th gen they are last gen /8th gen-3ds

so its no suprise wii is slowing in japan everyone has one , 3ds came out plus the earthquake had its effects dont forget some stores may have got ruined along with consoles and handhelds ga,es etc

due to the earthquake your lucky to see games still selling over there atm

youd think the main concern would be disaster relief !
