Only 3k higher than the Wii now. Looks like that even at $400, it still can't keep up.

Wait till next year though. I heard another price cut is coming. Its a rumor though, but a high possibility.

Thats just not good business sense. I dont doubt Sony mind losing more money on each system mad, but I doubt they'd take two hits in Q4 alone.
Remember that none of the Final Fantasy games came out yet. The PS3 sales will skyrock by then. Shinobi7777
agreed 100%. Do any of you realize how CRAZY japan is for Final Fantasy. This is going to be big.
Oh I guarantee Sony will drop the PS3 price a few times next year, no doubt about it.Wait till next year though. I heard another price cut is coming. Its a rumor though, but a high possibility.

Worked for the PSP. Which is doing really well right now considering its shaky start.

Supposedly one of its price cut dates is scheduled around spring time, near the release of MGS4.

it's still getting owned by the DS and the games aren't selling. how does that constitue "doing really well"?

In fairness, the PSP is doing well for a starter handheld but in competition, of course it got beaten.

At times its outsells the PS3 and PS2.
Plus its not dead which so many predicted it would be.
And its got a good library of games. How is that not doing well? Yeah the DS has beaten it in sales but Pepsi isn't going away just because Coke does better. You can still make money and not be # 1.
The PS3 definitely doesn't diserve to be in first in Japan, it's overpriced and has no great games that the xbox cannot offer. But hey, the Japanese are biased against american products, so microsoft loses in that respect.CraigJK
Here we go again, another Japanese and American bashing thread. Seriously, without the Wii, the X360 could have penetrated Japan andbecome # 1 in the video game market.

It is called culture differences, not liking each other is a myth, you are so uneducated, Japan, Asia in general and europe don't like shooters much, that's why it is losing, accept the fact and deal with it, don't whine about it and don't be racist.
If you are not happy with 360 sales, relax and play some Mass flop.
