I think they said they delayed the Ps4 in Japan because the games that appeal to the japanese are still not ready for being released.

Tis a long long wait Still to be fair, it's less time than Europeans had to wait for the PS3, that was 4 months

That would be because Xbox is launching in what, 15 Countries total on launch? Most of Europe isn't even seeing a release til next year, it's barely a launch at all.

Shows Japan isn't as important anymore. So many western developers cater to the west with so many games, from a business perspecive it makes sense and now with indie devs as well, they are going to want the consoles out in those markets as soon as possible to grab that support.

Also Japan has shown they don't chase the latest game hardware anymore.

Japan wasn't even a great supporter of the PS3. So what's the point in making them a priority market with the new consoles.

its because sony have already won in japan.

Guess sony is ditching japan as a priority and following MS' lead. For such an insignificantly small portion of the overall gaming market they got alot of special treatment, which always boggled my mind.

they own that market so of course if someone has to be sacrificed it will be the one where they have the market on lock.
