Jeff G was fired for his review of Kane and Lynch, due to advertiser pressure from Eidos. Yes, that's correct. Eidos did not agree with his review and threatened to pull their advertising. This is alarming because it shows a complete lack of integrity on Gamespot's part.
Jeff G gave Kane and Lynch a score of 6.0 in his review.This score was completely normal considering the game's average rating of 67% on gamerankings.com.
We as consumers count on Gamespot to provide us with impartial and trustworthy reviews. If this rumor is true this firing is a clear indication that impartial, trustworthy, and integrity have left the site in favor of greed.
