i think this is the PS3's sleeper hit for 09 considering not many are giving it much attenstion outside of the prototype vs. infamous debate which i find funny cuase both games are very different becuase one is a more of a destory everything incredible hulk type game while the other is more of a super/anti hero type story

about 90% of the time, impressions of any game are always good. It isn't till later when it is review time do they knock it down.
Hiphopgamer? Seriously?
Other then that.. game looks nice, not sure if the game will be that great if the powers shown at the vids are all you can toy with.

Is not about the site, is about Jeff's opinion.

is it bad that i dislike them both? Mainly cos i cant understand what the black fellow is saying and i have never really enjoyed Jeff. I think Infamous will be enjoyable if nothing else
Any post leading to hiphopgamer.com is failure imo.
That site is a huge joke.
kozzy1234
why? coz it has hiphop in its name?
[QUOTE="Zaibach"]
why is hiphopgamer always pointing at me?
kozzy1234
lol, cuz hes so gangsta! :P
The whole site is just jokes to me. I love hiphop and games myself, but that site i just dont like at all.
Its not that im racist or hate hiphop music, has nothing to do with that.
Just everything i have seen on that site seems to be a joke. Hyping Ninja Blade AAA is the last silly thing i remember.
Its just not my type of site man.
[QUOTE="Cherokee_Jack"]That guy is such an idiot.-M117-
ya i dont like lolfaqs either
Please don't involve me in your insults.Wow, did that guy actually confirm that Jeff was indeed fired because of the Kane & Lynch review? :o
Nice. Can't wait!
The part that has me most excited, though, is when Jeff says Brutal Legend "looks reaaal good". Oh yeah! I knew it'd be ace. The 1UP guys praised it on Listen UP, too. :D
Jeff is a GS legend.Englandfc1966
True, a legend to the lemmings to be more precise! He was lemmings greatest ally when he was chief editor. A lot (if not all) of lemmings were outraged when he was fired.
What kind of troubles he ran into with GS in the past?
EZs
For one, his scores and reviews are not consistent, and bias in favor of X360. But that is forgivable, and common in Gamespot nowadays. However, when he reviewed Kane and Lynch, it's one thing to score it low, but he bashed the game in his video review. Gamespot is advertising that game, and perhaps a breach of contract occured when Jeff bashed the game in his video review.
I think he's more of a gamer elitist than an editor. IMHO, he failed to conduct fair and balance approach as an editor in chief, but rather, he impose his fanboyish, elitist view on gaming that cost him his job. Greg K is a good exampleof a consistent, competent editor in chief in GS.
I think it's not just Kane and Lynch review that fired him, but rather the a lot of game developers are furious when he review the games. It just got piled up to the point that GS became a fanboy site instead of a credible video game site. As much as some of us are still finding bias and errors on GS review, at least it's not as low and bias during when Jeff G was editor in chief.
Thanks for the details.

Naw most of that was tin foil hat conspiracy theory garbage, CNET was unhappy with Jeffs kane and lynch review and so was eidos ( they withdrew their ad campaign after the review). CNET then fired him. Jeff was probably the best reviewer at gamespot.

It's ridiculous that a reviewer on a "professional" site isn't free to provide his honest opinion on a game. It just shows that a lot of these "professional" gaming sites that post reviews are suspect. When a good portion of your paycheck is coming from someone whose product you're supposed to be critiquing, there's an automatic conflict of interest, IMO.

That's capitalism for you. Nonetheless, Jeff G isn't innocent either. A lot of editors, from Alex Navarro, to Greg K. gave negative reviews (and there are plenty og them). I think it's because of the language used by Jeff G and the way he conduct his video review of Kane & Lynch has turned a negative review that is suppose to be contructive, into bashing. In hindsight, there are better words to use when giving a negative review. I guess his elitist ego got the best out of him. Please Log In to post.
